Hi,

Has anyone imported a campervan to PT?

I've heard it's expensive in import duties, but I'd like details.

I've owned the van for over 2 years, but did the conversion myself.

Are there any ways to get a quote?

Hi Andy,
Did you get anywhere with importing your campervan to Portugal? I am looking to do the same and would like to know what you've found out please. I'm getting conflicting information wherever I ask!
Many thanks indeed, all the best.

Hi don’t know about campervan duties but when we moved here 3yrs ago we bought our land rover defender 90 2.5 over with us & when we looked at how much it was going to cost us in in port duties (30,000€) of which we could not afford we had to make the heartbreaking decision to take it back to the uk & sell it. Have no idea of prices now as things have changed a lot since we came over, in the end we bought a Portuguese vehicle not the same but far cheaper.
Good luck with your campervan

Very many thanks indeed Jean, that’s very kind of you to reply. I believe campervans have cheaper import duties, but now don’t t know the difference between UK and EU duties now that the UK has left the EU. Nightmare!!
All the best, and thanks again
