Receiving a parcel

Reeeyahhh.30

Hello everyone, my name is Rea. I am currently living here in Phnom Penh. I'm from the Philippines.

I just want to share my concern. My fiance sent a package to me and I received a  call from Siem Reap International Airport informing me that my parcel has arrived but she asked me to pay 500$ for them to deliver it to me. My question was, why do i need to pay that amount when my fiance already paid everything to send the parcel here? I also asked her if is it possible for me to pay it upon receiving it? But she never replied.

It's an old scam that is widely known by now.

Several people involved,  including someone pretending to be airport staff but the most painful part is that your "fiance" is part of it.

There is no package,  they are trying to get you to pay money for nothing.

Report it to police,  it's a crime!

Good luck.

I've only just seen this post.
This may be interesting, can I tell you, I had stuff sent in my partner's name from NZ to our Guesthouse, which arrived OK with, I think a small fee ($2 or 2K Riel I forget!)
