Hi all,

I have an o2 pay as you go phone.

How much will I be charged to make local calls when im in Malta ?

best to have it "unlocked" and get a Go sim card (10Euro) - much cheaper....

Calls to UK (EU) are 35p per minute (14ppm to receive). Text is 10p (free to receive. To call other mobile networks it costs more.

I pay £10 a month for a bolt on, to have a cheaper rate. Not sure how much it is per minute to call UK, but I do know that its free to receive calls.

Contact O2 customer services on 4445 from your mobile to arrange the bolt on.

Regardless of where you are in Malta, or if you phone locally, you will still be charged 35p per minute.

I too advise what toonarmy9572 said, otherwise you will spend a fortune!

only 5c per sms and 10c per min voice calls local PAYG i think....very cheap.
