EP rejected after 2 months, appeal pending

This sounds very messy!
Your new employer "Nicoll Curtin" obviously does not know how to apply for a work pass and deal with MoM. If you want to avoid further frustration, you may want to stop your engagement with them.
A second work pass application is never possible (so "Collabera"'s was correctly rejected), but after "Nicoll Curtin" cancels theirs, "Collabera" can apply again - then the process will start again from Zero and can take 4 - 12 weeks.
How and when you return home (before STVP expiration, as it might not be extended again!) is up to you, and questions about transit in other countries are best asked in those countries' forums (or you ask their embassies).

Definitely Nicole Curtin is inexperienced in EP application and dealing with MOM, I asked them if they have good relationship with the MOM officer, Nicole Curtin's Key appointment holder said he was in contact with the same MOM lady officer who handles my case since last year, but don't know if they are in good understanding. If I withdraw the EP while the appeal is pending, MOM said it'll take same time as appeal processing. That's why I'm giving appeal process a chance. But now IBM opportunity has gone because they can't wait for 2-3 weeks. But luckily Equinix is waiting still.
I'm waiting until 18th and planning to go back to Srilanka, because I can't get visa from Malaysia for the transit for the 30th flight.

Sept 7 - EP applied
Sept 8 - EP rejected and appeal on the same day. TIl now still no update. MOM says 3 weeks (or more).  I already used my 1st STVP extension.

3rd Sep appeal submitted
Still appeal Pending, by today it's 13 days

May I know how did you extend the visit pass? My visit pass also extend on 11th September valid until 30th September.
(I'm looking for a second time extension of the visit pass, in case EP not approved or rejected by 30th September, my reason would be, the ticket I bought has a transit through Malaysia as described above, but Malaysia does not allow foreigners inside the country, need to check with MOM)

- First extension I asked my previous company to apply, which is valid til the 30th. Since I have pending appeal, I need to inform my previous company. Hopefully it will be extended again. Possible reason is my flight on the 30th was also canceled.

I think I was also interviewed for Equinix sometime in July.

May I know what was the reason for your EP rejection?
After 1 day you got the rejection result, for me MOM took nearly 2 months just to reject 😥

😀 Singapore is small, I got the offer 2+ months back but for some unluck still waiting for EP, I think I got the wrong agency or wrong MOM officer 😥

No reason at all bruh. I actually have another offer but problem is company B cannot submit new EP application due to existing appeal.

Dilemma now is should I cancel my appeal OR fresh new EP application?

Either way both choices will take time - and 2 weeks before my STVP expired.Withdraw appeal (may take time) and 1 week already passed waiting for the appeal.

My guess is if you're on STVP, MOM will reject you right away - thats why above mentioned reply is sort of auto generated and MOM ask HR to appeal right away.

Hopefully both extension  and appeal will be approved.

Reason for rejection as per HR, mom has detected im on stvp and they assume i am already in my home country. Appeal submitted with all the same application form but this time they indicated that im currently in singapore. Now will wait for the result.  Stvp will expire on oct 1. Planning to get extension by next week. Will update once get the extension and the result hopefully next week.

My visit pass was going to expire on 12th, For me MOM extended on 11th Sep, just one day before the expiry, MOM extended till 30th, when I called MOM hotline one week before the expiry, they told that I have to make the online extension request thru my previous employer who cancelled the EP at that time, my new employer made the request one week before the expiry, and my previous employer made the request 4 days before the expiry (MOM advice to request extension within 1 week), my previous employer didn't want to help me that's why I had to request thru new employer, but on 11th I reminded previous employer that if I overstay he also will affected(tip ), then he followed up with MOM just 1 day before the expiry, but at that time MOM already extended my visit pass for the request made by new employer, MOM requested a flight ticket for the extension which I bought dated 30th Sep, and submitted thru new employer.
I heard that MOM extended the visit pass over the counter too. For that they charge $40 as I heard. You can try that if the online extension thru previous employer thing doesn't work.
Appreciate if you post how you were able to do it after you do it.

So if new employer will request for the extension of visit pass MOM will ask for a flight details? Is it the same if going to MOM personally to extend it?

For online extension by ex/new employer MOM asked for the flight ticket.
Extending over the counter I personally didn't do, but one of my friends said he did few months back, at that time no flights/travel restrictions.

Only second time extension can be accepted if your country has travel restrictions and there is no flights from Singapore. Or else any major health issue which needs to be treated here or may be considered for a pending current work pass renewal.

Other than the above, very unlikely ICA will extend anyone’s visit visa (for a second time) without any strong rationale. Employer can’t ask for extension because your work pass approval is pending. No employer would ask ICA for that. Good luck

When I called ICA, they ask to contact MOM since I worked in Singapore and EP has been cancelled

Your case is different to those are obtained STVP while waiting for their work pass approval.

You were working under EP, so MoM can extend your default 30 days stay post EP cancellation. Again, it will see the rationale before it extend. The strong rationale is that your country has imposed border closure due to pandemic so there is no other way you could go back to your country. Hence, MoM has to provide a temporary extension. today afternoon got the call from my agent, my EP got the approval, finally after two and half months long waiting and so many heart attacks 😅.

The decision to stay in Singapore, extending the visit pass was the correct decision. I was thinking to go back to Srilanka on 18th, but 4 days later approved. If I went Srilanka it would have been hard to come back.

What's the process of STVP extension through the new employer?  And whats the timeline, is it 1 week also?

They submitted online form, MOM hotline also helps to find the form, even though MOM approved the new employer stvp extension request, they informed agent correct party is the previous employer, ya request within 1 week

Bro... for me also happed same as you. I call mom and said my employer didn't agreed to exted my stvp. So mom created a case om there database. Also mom directly proved me my stvp.

If employer doesn't ok to help up we can directly deal with mom and able to get stvp extend.

Hi there I need your kind advice and help. to extend the stvp you need the old company to send the extension request. The old company is saying no because apparently the stvp extension is only valid for work pass renewal or travel challenges. even if there is a pending ep application apparently this doesn’t count as a “renewal”. any tips/suggestions?

Your ex-employer is correct: The 30-days post-EP SVP is not renewable under normal circumstamces. During the Covid crisis, they did renew such SVPs in cases where no travelwas possible (e.g. all flights cancelled). This is not the case any longer, so you'd have to leave the country and wait abroad for the result of your new EP application.
It is better not to resign before the new EP is approved!

You can stay in country if ep is pending
