Advice needed - S Pass Application SAT eligibility to ineligible

Hi all,

I hope that someone would be able to advice me, maybe Surya, Beppi or any other forums members here.

I am currently applying for a S Pass application. Applied on 22 September 2020, used the SAT tools and key-ed in $2,500 and results showed Eligible but afterwards recently (after 1 Oct), my HR called me and say the application was rejected due to being ineligible (after 1 Oct the changes to minimum salary to $2,500)

We tried to test the SAT tools using the same experience, salary and all those when we applied in 22 September and the result came out different and it turns out to be ineligible. Now my HR trying to appeal with me using a higher salary and $2,600 the SAT mentions that I am now eligible.

As I have realised the S Pass Application is not based on cut off, but mainly on the day the MoM processing officer processing the application and tried the SAT.

Because I have read somewhere that higher salary might lead to rejection, but the fact is my application in the first place was eligible with $2,500 when using SAT tools on 22 September but now after 1 Oct, it is ineligible, and after tweaking to $2,600 it is eligible.

And I want to ask if a higher salary of $100, to make the application eligible will this be okay?

The company should tell MoM, in the appeal, that they mistakenly thought the old criteria would be applied and, after learning that it would be the new ones, adjusted the salary. I think then it should be o.k. and you have a chance to get the S-Pass (if all other criteria are also fulfilled).
