Warning, try to remember to ring for an appointment should you need to speak one to one at the bank, tax office and other public offices.this is due to Covid restrictions.I was in a bank in Corinth the other day when a very old man came in who had traveled a long way on the bus to speak, they told him he didnt have an appointment so go away, phone to make one for another day, poor man,how cruel.I went to my local tax office just for a paper to say that I dont owe any tax anywhere in Greece haaaa, and do you know that if you owe any TAP tax on your property which is so little every year in with your electricity bill they will hang drawer and quarter you I think.they sent me to the police station who sent me to the KEP office who then said..you know the UK is not in the EU so we cant do this for you..,this is where I raised my voice by three octaves and shattered all the windows, what the hell has that got to do with proving I dont owe tax in Greece,I reminded them of the transition period by way of education on that subject haaa, mercy, the Greek word for mercy is..Elaos,I use it every day. They did it and I ran back to the tax office before a large queue arrived and begged them to enter my details on the computer so as to move on with my property sale, after which I sat in a cafe with my cup of green tea to calm down and stare at a tree and I asked the tree..have you any idea how easy your life is..?

I also had to have an appointment at the local police station for them to stamp an official paper needed for a symvoliographo office so you cannot just walk in.
