Hi All,
i'm IT Software Engineer, currently work in Malaysia.
and now i'm getting offer from another company.

My question is:
is it possible for new company to apply EP without i tender resignation in my current company?
Can we just submit the release letter (NOC) from current company during EP approval later?

The concern is,
in order to get release letter, i need to tender my resignation first,
but we worry that later once itender resignation, my EP application for new company is rejected,
then ends up i need to leave Malaysia.

So at least by doing this,
by the first time EP application submission we can make sure that my EP actually can be approved, it just have 1 missing document which is Release letter.
Then only i tender my resignation and get the release letter.

Thanks!

i believe you dont need to resign immediately. First the new employer applies for EP and gets the 1st stage approval. Then u resign and get the release letter.

Anyesmp

Hi i would like to ask also now Im in the midst of processing of my ep but the mdec informed that they cannot verify the release letter because the signatory responsible of  my release letter cannot be contacted. I reached my previous company hr and he said the hr manager already resigned and they will issue new release letter for me. Kindly need your advise is this possible if they issue new release letter for me without disturbing my current mdec process? What should i do for now? Thank you

yea get a new release letter and go ahead and submit. Dont think it will hamper your process.

hi @Gaurav
do u know what is the detail about 1st stage approval?
is it Quota approval for the company to hire foreign worker?

Because when i check with the HR,
He said that there's only 1 approval, once he submited and imigration approved, i will get the Visa already.

He asked me whether the1st stage approval is the Expatriate Post Approval for foreign quota.
if in that case, then he already managed to get approval

Actually I just now realised that u vl hv to resign actually first. I hv also received an offer and some times back my new employer told me that release letter is mandatory for applying new EP. To get release letter u vl have to resign. I am also going to resign now.
