First SEF visit fees

Post new topic

Hi all,

As I cannot reach the SEF by phone, and the website is too confusing to determine what category I fall under, does anyone know what the fees are for the first extension with my Visa from the Canadian consulate?

Obrigada!

It seems to me that your visa is a short-stay one. Am I correct? Therefore, please see these links in english:

https://vistos.mne.gov.pt/en/short-stay … -stay-visa

Short stay visa: Visas issued to allow for transit and short-term stays in the Schengen area. Those visas have a maximum validity of 90 during any hundred and eighty (180) days period, allowing one or multiple entries.

Extending stay in Portugal - Schengen Visa

https://imigrante.sef.pt/en/prorrogar-permanencia/vs/

At the bottom of the page you'll find:

- Fees: PDF document. In your case it should be "III - PRORROGAÇÃO DE PERMANÊNCIA ", it can vary between 30 eur and 67 eur (*)

- Online Scheduling: Due to pandemic, prefer online services instead of the phone.

----
(*) Fees depend on the situation in which you find yourself. Please see Law 23/2007 to find more details:

Hi,

My current visa, issued in Montreal, is valid for 4 months, and Friday I will have my appointment to extend this for an additional 90 days.

I have seen the fee schedule on the SEF website, but wasn’t sure which category I fall into, as it is only in Portuguese.  Will update this after Friday.

Merci et Obrigada,
