How to use the King Fahd Causeway from Dammam to Bahrain

Post new topic

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone recent used the causeway from Dammam and crossed into Bahrain?

Questions:

1. Does Bahrain require a negative COVID-19 PCR testing before crossing? If so, is it a 72 hour test, 48 hours? Can they do it on the border?

2. Do you need a visa to cross into Bahrain if you have an Iqama card?  If not do they do visa on arrival at the causeway? (My passport is from US)

3. If you don't have a causeway pass to drive to Bahrain, is there a taxi / shuttle service you can take from Dammam? If so where and what's their contact info?

4. Where can you park you car for several weeks safely if you take a taxi / shuttle across?

In the future, just do a search.  I have answered all of these questions multiple times. An example:

1) You have a choice to do the test in Bahrain on entry, pay 400 SAR, quarantine till results come out and then you are free to move.  Then you do a second test on your 10th day of stay.  Or else, do a test in Saudi 72 hours before entry
2) Bahrain will give a visa on arrival.  But Saudi immigration may NOT let you exit without having a Bahrain visa in advance.  We have had many threads on which people were complaining that they were not allowed to exit Saudi even though they would have gotten visas on arrival.   Saudi immigration is actively discouraging people from going to Bahrain without a valid reason (by road only - flights you can).  I cross every other week but I have residence in Bahrain.  Search the forums for more flavor around this point - we have discussed this a lot
3) Google Bahrain limo or Uranus; both would charge around 600 SAR one way
4) Can't answer that.  You have to check around your residence in Dammam
