FORBES posted survey in the states saying 29% of medical professionals are not getting vaccine until its been around 2 years fearing the process was rushed and there could be long term side effects not known until later,,, maybe because they know the history of vaccines and that some were horrendous.
Plus new york times 55% firefighters wont get vaccine.
The think about your children is also a fair comment.
NO ONE KNOWS the long term effects of any of the vaccines yet so its a fair comment.
I just read an article dated June 2021 on the The American Medical Association (AMA) web site that says ............................... CHICAGO — The American Medical Association (AMA) today released a new survey (PDF) among practicing physicians that shows more than 96 percent of surveyed U.S. physicians have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, with no significant difference in vaccination rates across regions. Of the physicians who are not yet vaccinated, an additional 45 percent do plan to get vaccinated. So where do you get the 29% from & what was the date of the FORBES article & the one about the fire fighters, what was the date on that one?
Its all very well shooting down the vaccine but whats your alternative, let it run free & kill more people in the hope that it runs its course & possibly the world gets herd immunity or possibly it mutates to an even more dangerous virus & NO ONE KNOWS the long term effects of any mutation! So its a "between a rock & a hard place" situation as far as I am concerned & bring on the Astra vaccine I am ready & willing.
Àll this death and turmoil all because China and the WHO couldn't man-up and tell the truth. China needs pulling into line. Typical commie strategy, deny and admit to nothing.

Looking back at it,, it was several months ago,,, maybe the delta strain changed minds.
I was not shooting anything, I just said his post about your children was over fear about what could happen to vacinated people if there is some long term effects of any of the vaccines so his comment was fair having read that medical workers are also thinking about the long term effects of vaccines that have no 5, 10, 15, 20 year data to go on, there is a study showing that VITT (vaccine induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia) is a result of antobodies latching onto PF4 platelets causing blood clots so naturaly people would have cause for concern if there were any negatives in any vaccine.
I have seen video's that say the anti-bodies you get for sars-2 (covid-19) will help agaiinst any strain a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h or whatever they call a new one,, AFTER your body builds up enough of them,,,, and that they have found memory cells in bone marrow of people who had covid 8-9 months ago that sleep in the bone marrow the same as all vaccines you get when a child and lay there dormant for years then activate when you need them in the future, the Doctor in the video said that there are live anti-bodies that live and die within months then they are stored as memory cells to fight later,, HOWEVER he said if next time a sars-3 is found it is NOT effective against the new strain which is a totally different virus. He said the people who are at risk of new strains of the same sars-2 but different strain are those who do not have enough anti-bodies yet.
As for bring it on,,, if anyone is older or at risk then the long term effects vs the short time catchiing it and dying are on the side of get the vaccine,,, however if your young and in the 80% range of people who get it and recover and get anti-bodies then why get a vaccine that MAY have long term effects that you cant reverse later?
The biggest thing I have seen about vaccines is people get the jab and then get covid anyway mostly because their anti-bodies have not built to a level to fight a full blown encounter with the virus, there are many doctors and nurses that have had the vaccine then get covid, so maybe the only safe way is get the jab, have a test to see if you have full cover of anti-bodies then go out of isolation?
Standing in a line as a delivery driver getting a vaccine and then going out delivering is in my opinion madness because they have zero anti-bodies for weeks.
My answer is get the jab if at risk, go into isolation unlti you have full anti-body cover, if your young think about vacc vs no vac, up to you, but if you do then isolate until full anti-body cover.
The facts are through out history vaccines have been great and some have not, so if your in that 80% range with no pre existiing conditions and low risk why not wait until the data come in about risk factors seeing your going to get natural anti-bodies if you do get it.

Crumbling old retied people? I retired at 48, my husband retired at 55. We'll be 69 and 72 this year. Our children are between 42 and 46, middle agers actually.
Before the lockdown, my husband bodysurfed anytime the waves were good, swam every day at the pool, and rode his mountainbike to the Lighthouse every week. His most recent ski run was in Garmisch-Partenkirchen the morning of Christmas Eve 2019; his most recent dive was in the Great Barrier the year before that. We parasailed in Phu Quoc earlier this year.
During this lockdown, he does 12-14 staircases each day in addition to treadmill, stationary bike, and ab cruncher. I do about the same amount of staircases plus 16,000 steps count on my Apple watch.
We may think about being crumbled in 15 years.
The Vietnamese covid vaccine registering portal will translate into English. It did take a few tries but eventually the English language registration page opened. I successfully registered myself and my wife including a registration confirmation. The link will translate to English if one's patient.

I dont think & have ever seen any of the vaccine manufacturers claim that their vaccines stop you getting Covid. Any write up's & statements have always said that getting the vaccine will not prevent you getting Covid, what is does do is stop you from getting seriously ill & dying from it & UK is now proof (last figures I have seen) of that as far as I can see. Covid figures went up dramatically recently but deaths are nearly flat line now & I am just watching France 24 where it states that the recent upsurge in cases in UK has peaked & there is now a sharp fall in reported cases its down to the high vaccination % of population.

It is this vaccine hesitancy that is pushing up the cases in US. Yesterday's figures were 1,22,674 new cases and 671 deaths. This, in spite of being vaccine surplus.
World over there is enough information to believe that vaccination at least keeps you away from ICU and ventilator. I believe, it is wise to address the issue at hand first rather than worry about what may happen many years down the line. In Hindi there is a saying " Jaan Hai To Jahaan Hai". Translated as "If you are alive, there is life".

What you said is false. I registered onlne, and today I was contacted to fill out a form for the 65-and-older vaccine group. The government has stressed that foreigners will be treated the same as Vietnamese people, and now that my ward is being vaccinated, I am in line for one..

What they actually say is that the vaccines are not guaranteed to stop you from getting the disease. That's what the the 93%, 95% numbers are about -- they will stop you from catching it at that probability. But in addition, they claim that if you are infected, the severity will be lessened. That's at 100% for all the vaccines I've read about.

So what you are saying is that 71% of medical professional took the vaccine? That is about the percentage of people who haven't yet taken the vaccine in USA.
Vaccine vs Possible death I will opt for a rushed vaccine that will lessen the effects of a deadly virus.
Firefighters reluctance is most likely a Superman complex.

So what you are saying no I quoted a survey, which someone else then quoted newer figures, all I did was respond to someone elses comment about being careful about taking vaccines that could/could not have bad side effects down the road.
Vaccine vs Possible death I will opt for a rushed vaccine data shows that the break down so far is around 80% have no or little sympoms to the virus, around 20% have more severe symptoms and around 2% go on to die, so if you have any of the health problems that they list as being at risk of the 20% then consult with your care provider about your risk analysis and get the vaccine as you could be in the 2% group that die.
If you are young and your risk analysis is you are in the 80% range then way up future health from post covid or future health from post vaccine.
The fear is valid there has been bad outcomes from drugs that were fast tracked, many people remeber things like "Thalidomide, a rapidly approved drug, in the 1950s and early 1960s, the use of thalidomide in 46 countries was then banned after it was discovered to cause birth defects in newborns.
I for one have 5 relatives who in the last 4 weeks have had covid, been to isolation and released, ages 5-40 with low risk they all had mild symptoms and now have antibodies, would it be fair to them to be MADE to have a vaccine and then have to just put up with any bad effects if any?
Remember there are live stats everyday from Vietnam ministry of health on zalo (source Zalo app COVID-19 Bo Y te) showing how many released from hospital post covid, in HCMC yesterday it was 3,250 patients were declared cured, this has been the trend for a while with more than 3,000 a day beiing released so it is not 100% live or die option and saying such is being disingenuous.
The point is people can consult and manage their own risk take a vaccine and possible long term effects or take and live if their risk is high, or not take and not risk complications later if their risk is low.
All points of this topic are valid seeing there is no long term data yet as the vaccines were fast tracked and only been out for months not years to just shout down any reality that drugs can have bad side effects later is putting your head in the sand and you should think of your individual risk factor.
If there is data that says vaccine or 100% you will die then post a link if not then the other poster was correct in saying think of your children, or all those in the 80% risk group that really do not need to play russian roulette with which vaccine to get.
At the end of the day those in the 80% are going to get to heard immunity without taking a vaccine anyways.
The rest at higher risk can take the vaccine or maybe die option.
