Hi everyone,

My company is expatriating me to Shanghai in the next few months. I’ll be moving with my wife and 2 young children.

Very excited about the move and opportunity - Shanghai is a great city I’ve visited many times so I look forward to learning more about it by living here.

My work involves travel throughout China (mainly southern areas and north east), but also throughout the whole Asia Pacific region (Covid permitting).

Hope to learn and contribute to the expat forum on Shanghai and China whilst meeting like minded people.

Hi there! Moving to Shanghai or Guangzhou in the following months. I would like to know people that suffer from Rheumatoid Arthirsts living in China. Please let me know if you can share the experience of living there and treating this disease.

My husband is relocating to Shanghai in Oct/Nov and I'm told they can't get me a spousal visa. We are based in California, in case that matters. Did you have any trouble getting a spousal visa for your wife?

I'm thrilled to be expat of the month! I've lived in Shanghai before the pandemic. And my husband is moving back in Oct/Nov. I can't seem to get a spousal visa. Any advice?

I’m on this site because I was going to move to China but went home instead, just when covid hit. I joined this site but haven’t made it yet.
I currently do care work but am experienced as a PA and receptionist, I taught English (no degree) in England and Vietnam in foreign language schools. I’m single, 57 and adore China, Chinese culture from living in Singapore as a child. Really want to come but haven’t made it yet 🙂
