Hi all,
Newbie on the Faroe Islands forum? Don't know how to start?
This thread is for you
We invite you to introduce yourself on this topic, to share with us your expat story if you are already living in the country,
or to tell us more on your expat projects in the Faroe Islands if you are planning to move there.
It will enable us to help you better but above all to wish you a warm welcome.
Welcome on board!
My name is Sam, I'm 56 and currently still living in the US. Back in 2013 I met a lovely Faroese gal while gaming online, we started to talk and become good friends, and it turned into so much more. In 2018 we were married in the states, and now I'm getting ready to move to the Faroe Islands to be with her. Lots of "ducks to get in a row" but I plan to move to the Faroes late this year or early next year at the latest.
So many things to look up, and sadly the pandemic has slowed some of our plans down, but I'm excited to begin this new chapter in our lives together. Just need to figure out stuff like work, meds, stuff like that. But I'm glad I found this social network.
