Zhanna: If you have educational qualifications (e.g. university degree) that are recognised in Singapore (check with MoE), then you can apply. But of course over 50 you may face difficulties - plus, German iand Russian are near useless here and there is no shortage of native English speaking teachers.

Welcome, Osama. This forum is a great source of information and guidance.
I am going to marry my Singaporean Fiancée once arriving then i will apply for the LTVP, Can i find a work while holding the LTVP ?
Once you have the LTVP, you can apply for an LoC, which allows you to work.
Please note that approval of the LoC is not assured - and you might get a lower salary and less career progression than with your own work pass.
Hi everyone,
I just visited your forum and really liked it, so immediately became part of.
I am Edra from Albania and I love Singapore. I plan to move there in the near future (hopefully) as I am really intrigued by the Singaporean culture.
Can anyone of you tell me what would be the easiest way to get and live there? I am currently working with an international organization, I graduated in Finance/ Accounting (Master level) and I hold a 12-year experience in the field of Accounting and Supply Chain.
Thank you in advance.
Warmest regards,
Edra
Hi Edra, welcome to the forum!
Obviously, the easiest way to move to Singapore is being transferred to the Singapore office of your current employer.
If that is not an option, you'd have to find a job on your own merit. Since accountancy and supply chain management are not professions with a shortage of local expertise, this will not be easy.
Read and follow the advice given in related threads in this forum - and, at this time, you may want to wait until the COVID restrictions are over!
hey there! im filipina and working in Supply Chain - Im not a newbie here haha but i browse often and enjoyed reading articles in this site. Im living in Singapore for the past 12 years. Hoping to stay longer and save up!
Hi all, I?m Nicole from US. 32 and a chiropractor and waiting to get entry approval to get back to Singapore (moved in 2019 and switched companies this year). Love SG and can?t wait to get back!
Hi All,
I am Nic, born in South Africa, currently living in Australia (citizen) in the end stage of completing a PhD in Information Systems (supply chain management). I am interested in opportunities in Singapore for one simple reason - love. My fiance, a Singaporean, and I met 8 years ago while studying for our master's degrees in Perth.
We have a place to stay, she has a job, and all we need now is a job for me to get the required visa. Unfortunately, this seems to be a catch-22 situation. Any advice?
Nic: Welcome to the forum!
You could get a Dependent's Pass first (if her income is above S$6000/month). It is much easier to find a job (and get the required work visa) once you are here!
Hi beppi,
Thank you for the quick reply and for the suggestion.
I will read up on it.
Best regards,
My name is Jennifer and I’m from Ghana I have Degree in Management Studies and I really wish to work in Singapore but I don’t know how, please help me.
Djanelinam: please read the many discussions on this forum about how to find and apply for suitable jobs here and what the requirements are for gettin the various types of work visa.
You are welcome to post more specific questions then, but yours above is too broad to anser in a useful manner.
Thanks for your quick response…am grateful

Hi,
Kriz here, working as a nurse in SG for almost 8 years.
My S pass renewal was rejected.
S pass renewal submitted 29/7/2021
Checked online the status last 10/8/2021 and result was REJECTED.
Still awaiting for HR for any update.
My pass is expiring this end of the month (31/8/2021).
Do I need to wait till the MOM outcome or should i submit application to other employer to secure a job??
Does it affect my new application to other company while waiting for the appeal/reapplication (if my current employer submitted either)?
krazy08 wrote:Does it affect my new application to other company while waiting for the appeal/reapplication (if my current employer submitted either)?
There can be no other application until the current one is completed (approved, rejected or withdrawn).
I am from India Hyderabad i.e. IT Hub. I am staying here and looking for Pharmaceuticals Job opportunities in the country (Analytical Development/Quality Control) . Ready to relocate.
Adlmurthi: Why Singapore? How many and which suitable employers are there in your area? Good luck with applying for jobs here!
Hello everyone,
My name is Ramanathan Dhakshinamoorthy (Ram). I have relocated to Singapore 3 years back. My wife works with local bank here so moved along with her as a dependent pass holder. I am a solution architect with 16 years of experience. Currently in EP (renewed year on year). I am waiting for my EP renewal submitted on 3 Aug 2021 and still pending as of today. The last 2 renewals went through less than a week or so. I know the approvals are getting delayed these days. My employer already sent a chaser last week to Mom and no reponse yet on that.
The topics on the expat forum are super helpful to know what's going on. I am glad to be part of this forum.
Thanks,
Ram
Hi. I'm Evan and I'm hoping to enter SG soon.
I finished my grad studies in Japan and then signed a job contract under NTU right after my graduation.
I received my IPA last May, 2021 but this waiting game to enter SG is becoming very frustrating lately.
Am hoping that I can get a slot for entry as I am also fully vaccinated. Seems like this step has been tough for a lot of applicants, too.
Anyway, thanks for this forum that I can also see similar cases as mine.
Hi, I am Karen from Philippines. I have been working as a preschool teacher in Singapore since 2010. However, last February 2021 my Spass was not renewed as my conpany has no more quota. I went back to Philippines last March and was hired again in a government school. I have an IPA and waiting for my entry approval again. I was allowed entry last June 14, 2021 the border closed. My HR is applying again for my entry. Anyone here waiting for their entry approval? In which country are you stuck and which sector?

Hello folks! I'm currently in SG waiting for my new EP application outcome (currently holding on to my STVP expiring on 24th Oct). Hope everyone is keeping safe!
Victoir: As we have pointed out many times before, you will not find a job on this forum, but lots of advice for an efficient job search - which I encourage you to read and follow.
As always, a job in "any field whatsoever" will not work. You need to focus on a niche where you have several years good experience (plus a degree/certificate) and there aren't enough locals to fill all positions.
And please keep in mind that this is not the best time to come to Singapore as a foreigner: It was just published that over 200000 of them have left the country due to COVID and the bad economy.
Dear sir,
Iam from Pakistan,
My name is Miraj Gul,
B.tech civil engineer,
Ishal be very thankful to bring me in Singapore,
Best regard
Miraj Gul,
Miraj: Nobody will "bring" you to Singapore. That is not how it works. You yourself must find a way to come to Singapore, either by finding a job or by qualifying for a visa in any other way.
Hi! I am Rachel and I will be moving to Singapore soon. I am in the IT sector and was able to be given the wonderful opportunity to work in Singapore.
