Hello!

I was working in Dubai in 2006-2008 on my employment visa.

Now after a gap of 13 years I am going back to Dubai again on an employment visa.

Please guide me if again I have to go through the process of getting my Degree and credentials attested from HRD, MEA and UAE embassy in India?

Or the previous attestation on my Degree and credentials will be sufficient?

Thanks & Regards

Cheryl

Hi all,

This might be a bit off topic and I am an aspiring expat rather than an expat..:-D

Myself Sourav Patel from India. I am looking forward to working and settling in UAE. I have a total work experience of more than 10 years. Currently I have been working in ICICI Bank Ltd under Asset Manangement and Corporate Banking. I have a total banking experience of almost 5 years as on date. Prior to joining the banking sector, I had worked for Vedanta Aluminium Ltd for a period of 6 years as a Mechanical engineer. I have completed my full-time MBA in Finance and Banking in 2016.

Request group members to refer any suitable opening for me in banking and finance sector across UAE, preferably Dubai or Abu Dhabi

Hi Everybody,

David from Mauritius. Planning to find a job and move with family to Dubai. Project is on course but quite difficult to find vacant position.

Wide range experience, starting from Accounting, to BPO, to Event Management, website management and Retail/Sales Brand Manager, I would like to have the opportunity to expand my skills and gain experience in a different cultural environment, to improve both my professional and personal life going forward. I am looking for opportunities such as Sales Executive, Sales Coordinator or E-Commerce Coordinator.

Thank you very much
David

I did my medical in Abu Dhabi with Capital Health. The status on their site was updated to "Certificate Ready for Collection" does this mean I have passed the medical test.

Also I checked on TAMM for the medical result using this link https://www.tamm.abudhabi/en/services/t … ningresult
And it says on "The fitness result for your application no xxxxxxxx has been released. Proceed to immigration to complete visa process." Does this also mean I have passed the test.

I also got a text saying " App. Xxxxxx , Screening results are complete. Please proceed to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs."  Does this mean I have passed?

I am curious because it doesn't explicitly says anywhere if I you have passed or failed the medical.

Any help will be appreciated.

Good day all
Thanks for the add to this Forum.
Myself, my wife and our 3 kids (5, 3 and 9 months) and potentially relocating to Abu Dhabi.
There are so so many options with regards to neighborhoods and schooling.
I was hoping someone who is currently living in Abu Dhabi with young kids can give me some input to fees of schools and potential areas to live in etc.
Much appreciated
Driaan

Kheirdha

Hello everyone,

I’m from France and currently living in the uk. With my wife and two kids we are planning to move to uae in august 2021.

R.ghusain83

You are most welcome Kheirdha!
UAE is so wonderful in August; it will be the perfect time for swimming I suppose.

cheers

Rateb.

NCN

I beg to differ.

I don't want to sound alarming but August is the most arduous month in the UAE with high temperature and high humidity.

If you are shifting, time spent outdoors is very difficult as you would perspire and breathing could be uncomfortable due to the heat and humidity. Children can get uncomfortable and cry because of the heat. Temperatures could touch 48 degrees C in July August .

So ensure that the house you are moving in has the electricity energized and the air-conditioning is functioning to minimize the level of discomfort and come prepared with adequate clothes for changing as you could get dripping wet outside because of the humidity.

I wish you good luck and success in your endeavors in UAE.

nousheenf

Not having a car to travel the outskirts is actually quite difficult in the UAE. If you have an international driver's license, you might want to consider renting a car and driving. Or, your other option is to book a tour through operators, you'll find quite a few. All the best.

Shafqat

Agree with Noushfeen

Looking forward to taking up our teaching positions in Al Ain in August with my wife Stacey. Drove through it in 2011 on our way from Doha to Muscat! Be good to absorb ourselves into the expat culture again as well as the challenges of the new job!

sabs39

Hi everyone. I currently live in the UK and really  want to move to Dubai to work and live my dream.  I have been 9 times and absolutely love everything about the country.

I am a tutor of maths and English and need to find a teaching job that pays well. I'm stuck because all the job vacancies ask for a PGCE which I don't have however I have years of experience teaching 11 different years of students.

Can anyone advise if this is the only way in?

I am enrolling on a CERTA course but not sure if it is recognised there.

I would love to hear your responses.
