My wife is the expat and Im living in another country. She is processing her immigration to come here and just updated her passport into her married name. Now we are told she must update her CPR into her married name before she can take the police clearance. She has flexi visa and shares a flat with four others and neither of us can afford for her to rent her private room or flat. She has no utility bill in her name. What can we do? How do we get the CPR done?

XTang

If none of the others have the flat on their cpr, she can get an NOC from the landlord and use that to put the address on her cpr.

Thank you but im so new to this. I thank you for your patience with me also. What is NQC? Will doing that affect her when applying for her Police Clearance

James Geeslin

Also she is just now telling me her CPR will expire in December so in addition to.changing her married name is has to renew..will this change the process and can we still get the NQC from the landlord?

XTang

NOC is basically a no objection from the landlord. And says that he has rented apartment to her. Cpr renewal and address are different matters.  You can renew cpr regardless.

I suggest you find an agent as you don't know much about the process and will waste time.  And I dont know why she had to change her name..... The simpler way would have been to get clearance on her maiden name and then change it when she left Bahrain.

NOC not NQC. No obejection certificate.

Also, the cpr is expiring in Dec and we are now in the month of January.  So unless the dates are wrong, she doesn't have to renew anything.
