Last day for personal appearance at Bureau of Immigration: March 1, 2021

NO WALK-INS FOR 2021. You need to set up an appointment before making a personal appearance. But there are exemptions.

Bureau of Immigration website is down. You can make an appointment through their facebook page.

I just did my annual report and did not need an appointment so maybe it depends on what province you are in...I am in La Union in northern Luzon island

My husband went to BI Manila today, Feb 2, for annual reporting.  Manila office /
branch required an appointment. No walk ins.

To set an appointment, we checked out yesterday the BI fb page. The form for scheduling one was a bit confusing. My husband tried clicking on Friday 8am on their calendar. But it was not clickable even though it showed that there were 100 slots available. It turns out that we can't pick a date of.our choosing. The site would be the one to pick a date.  My husband was scheduled for Tuesday 8am. He then got a QR code which he printed and brought with him to his appointment.

The processing was quick. Less than 10 mins.

When my husband goes to BI for annual reporting, he parks at the parking lot across BI. Parking  fee last year was 50 pesos. Now it's 100 pesos. My husband mentioned that there was this pushy parking attendant who asked for a tip. My husband gave him 20 pesos. The guy complained and said something that he needed the money, etc. My husband gave him 50 pesos so the guy would just shut up.

I understand people are in need of money due to the challenges everyone is facing today. Especially those in the services industry. But it has to be done in a decent and honest way. My impression of your parking attendant seems like coercing people for money. It sure does look like 'protection' money?
Sorry, off topic.

Is there a parking lot at BI?

The only thing I've  seen is on street parking with Hustlers waving at you at an empty parking spot, sort of like "mini" fixers, but for parking.

Finding a space close to BI entails being lucky, otherwise you may have a long walk. Maybe now with appointments, parking &  BI will be less hectic. After having my wife's cousin driving us, I now use Grab and get dropped off at the front door.

As per tipping in regards to this thread and others, I do tip. I tip take out Food deliveries,
Grab or Taxi drivers, Garbage Men, Restaurants, Shopee deliveries, Porters from the Supermarket that cart out your groceries.  It's an old habit coming from Las Vegas a town that runs on tips.

When I tip it makes me feel good. I and my wife have brought our western culture  with us, now my Filipino stepsons also tip for services.

I've found the person receiving the tips most appreciative.

That's similar to the common misstake many parents in Europe do   =When parent say No, the kids screem, the parent give up just to make the kid shut up, so the kid is TOUGHT to MISSbehave...  :)
