@dennis_2526 completely agree with this statement. And as a US physician it infuriates me how the VA System is hemorrhaging money to pay for these fraudulent services. These clincs are not only in the DR, but also in Medellin Colombia and in other countries. The fraudulent scheme involves some medical care but also overcharging for ”services” that include massages, games, tours often billed as part of ”therapy”. They operate by getting local non US licensed doctors to agree to see you. Most times, these doctors are not even part of the permanent staff of these clinics, theyre just called over the phone and offered a gig on the spot.  Whoever is available gets to see the patient that one time. next time it will most likely be another ”friend” of the clinc who sees you… so imagine how many people hace access to your private medical info!!! Who knows what credentials these docs have!!
