Expats in Landau

dutchyM

Hi all,
after living and working for a while in different cities in Germany I have now started to live in Landau. Unlike other cities, I have not encountered any expat groups in Germany and am wondering if there is an active expat community around Landau.

It seems like a nice area to live but its always better to enjoy/explore the area with some other expats.

please connect if you want to meet new people.

Small towns like Landau (with below 50000 residents) do not usually have an organised expat scene. Good luck in finding and befriending the few!
(And don't forget that Germans can also be nice people to hang out with!)

I think it is fine to meet expats but why go out of one's way? One should be able to get along fine without them. And during the pandemic its not really the optimal time to be trying to make new social contacts. I don't know Landau but my tip is that if one doesn't find a group in the internet then look if there are any Irish pubs in town, once they reopen of course. They seem to always attract a good expat crowd.
