Urgent help needed - anyone experienced in this?

Can anyone help, have experience?
My very good friend in Marocco, Khemisset, says landlord will clear their apartment if they cannot pay. They have had serious income trouble during pandemic.
Of course because of COVID it's hard to find work as well.
Are there any financial solutions to these kind of problems?
Thank you & God bless !

Adam rachak

The financial solution is to pay the unpaid rent and take the receipt for the last month

As for the appart , no one can make them out until four months after the trial

But if they have no other house, then no one can take them out.

But it is important that they are attentive and smooth with the law

Adam I really appreciate this, God bless, forever thankful : )

Adam rachak

Anytime kris 😊

Of course, it seems to be the worst case scenario there now, as they say they have not been able to pay 4 months rent now, so apparently the landlord has the right (?) to throw them out, I guess this is legal and not unlawful in Morocco, wouldn't be so in my country (Finland).

Doesn't Morocco offer any support financially during COVID (goverment monthly aid for rent like we have for unemployed) or at least take into consideration basic human rights to living?

Adam rachak

_They cannot be expelled to the street if they do not have other housing, and this is a difficult solution for them, but they must resist and not get out .they must Always let someone in the house

The covid subsidy here is ridiculous, as it does not exceed $ 100

In Morocco, capitalism reaches its ugliest form.  You should always save money for survive. 100% capitalism

For example, I also rent out my house.  If the lender does not pay me, I will not have any money, so what should I do?  The state does not support me

Kris2021

Thanks Adam, so they are allowed by law to stay in their apartment (a garage), it is illegal to throw them out on the street? It's a family.

Kris2021

It's a good idea to rent out your house for extra income. Of course, you can choose your guests well, so you know them in advance, and also for example circulate more often with limited rent time as customers always exist for higher income.

Adam rachak

Yes it's illegal. But they must know how protect their self with law good

Adam rachak

I have 3 houses and 3 garages for rent .
But i took just 50% from the price of rent now

Kris2021

Yes, you are right. I found several sites now confirming what you said about eviction and Moroccan law with tennants and landlords. I really appreciate Adam, you deserve a medal.

Adam rachak

I am always here for you kris .

Kris2021

Definitely will look you up if I visit Morocco, do you have any in Khemisset or Casablanca?

Capoppy55

No they do not have much help for people at this time. My husband is an out of work tour guide and has not received any assistance whatsoever.

Hey ,
The solution is pay the rent or half and promise for pay the other half but if not he/she need to not go out from the house and let the owner go to the court and he need a lawyer to make a reason that your friend have no work and no help because of covid panademic ...
i hope they find better solution than that like go for asking help from  organisations or he can put a advertisment in facebook group ask for help .
