I am new to this post and buying a home new property

I am doing a new build in PuntaCana.  I have already put down the deposit and now at the end of month, the construction fee is due. I am waiting on the contract to be signed and notarized. It is taking a long time getting it back signed and notarized. I am feeling a little nervous about it . Especially, since I gave them my deposit. My real estate agent kept giving me excuses.  What should I do. I am getting a lawyer when I can get a signed contract.

I think you need a lawyer now not later.

@pharrison742 good trusted and recommend lawyer is time are my thoughts.

My experience NEVER turn over money here to anyone unless contracts review by trusted attorney , contracts signed, both parties are in agreement for any large purchase of properties.

This thread was written a few years ago. I hope I am able to ask a few questions.  My husband and I are thinking about buying property in Cap Cana.  Is it still a good place to buy?  What are the pros and cons?  Could I have the name and contact information for your attorney?

Yes for us, only you can determine if its good for you. We are 9 months away from taking delivery of a new condo. We signed on the dotted line about 2 year ago and I am happy, very happy with what I bought. Our journey started looking in Florida USA and that was out of our budget for what we wanted. Then I casted a very wide net and looked at a dozen islands, 100 homes in the DR and picked WaveGarden in Cap Cana.

A few questions:

Do you have time to build or do you want something in the next 90 days?

How is your health?

Do you want to be very near a good hospital?

Do you want to be on the ocean or near the ocean?

Do you play golf?

Do want a house (villa) or a condo?

Have you been to Punta Cana Village?

Budget?

Are you coming as a snow bird? As in the winter months.....

All the questions above get a "yes" for CapCana for us, So after our research this is what was best for us. If this helps great, if you want more information send me a direct message and we can talk. Pax (B:) Very last thought... do a really deep dive on Youtube (pro tip) buy a subscription its a better experience.
