No one wants to insure my imported car!

Hello folks, since I am in a bit of a fix with my car I would like to ask for advice.

I moved from Switzerland to the UK and imported my Swiss Peugeot 206 and recently got a license plate number for it through the DVLA.

The problem is that now that I want to insure the vehicle, no insurance company seems to have the exact model and trim of my car, hence they don't want to insure it.

It is a Peugeot 206 Look 1.4 90CV (65KW) from 2005, but insurance companies don't have any "Look" trims from that year or that power on their system. It is very confusing also considering I had no problem registering the vehicle under the DVLA.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? I would hate to have to buy a car here because I have a perfectly working one and I have owned it for 6 years now.

Cheers

Try your local Peugeot dealer, see if it was imported into the UK in a different guise.

Brilliant advice folks, I ended up calling Peugeot and the car just had a different name in the Uk. While in Switzerland it was called Look, in the UK it was the S. I thought the problem was gonna be much worse.

Cheers!!!
