Cost of living in Cyerjaya on 16k

Post new topic

crystalvisuals

Hi All
I was wondering if somebody could give me their thoughts/experience on living expenses living in Cyberjaya on 16k a month. Thoughts on both as a single occupant with accommodation, food, bills paid for and another opinion on this same wage with another person (my partner) who wont be working intially.

Any additional info is welcome as I am still considering the contract coming from the UK and putting my flat on rent.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

Hi I’ve heard on other forums that the area is quite secluded and quiet. The cost is a little less than KL but if your partner is not working then it could be expensive. You would have to take some savings. Can you hold out in making a decision if they have offered you the job? Also you can’t get a visa for fiancé you have to be married.

16k is it without tax or with tax. As for what I know based on comments i received for myself 10k it is good enough to live a  deecent life.. 16k shldnt be a problem ...everything depend on ur lifestyle. If u have ur partner working then it wont be an issue living leisurely..

Numbeo.com can give you much updated details about expense rent, meals and transportation.

Well I can hold out for another 1/2 weeks before making a decision. I have quite a bit of savings and she could leave a few months after I arrive. Thanks, I didn't realise we have to be married first.

If she leaves a few months after you arrive it will be difficult for her to get a visa. They have apparently become strict with international people and on another forum if you read it says they are trying to get them all out. So my advice would be to make sure your workplace can get her a spouse visa too.

Sorry to be a pain but do you remember the exact date at all?

I’ve heard and they said “no”. So I have another interview lined up for Bahrain. Fingers crossed. Anywhere is better than here.

Sorry I'm not at my pc at the moment. So can't check sorry but I believe it was a few weeks ago. Good luck with your interview. Where are you based at the moment again?
