Post new topic

Hi, my fiancée and I are gonna do an online wedding sometime at the end of June or early July. I saw the updated entry allowed and I was wonder what the typical timeline during covid was for a spousal visa?

If you haven't met in person a marriage visa will be denied.

Good Morning All

A spousal visa is normally denied if you haven't met in person! However the problem lies in the scams of the online marriage brokers! Philippines will grant the visa with documentation of extreme hardship! Also keep in mind that the agent granting the visa has sole discretion in making the decision! My Canadian neighbor in Quezon City went through the long and drawn out process and was finally granted the visa!! Next came the even longer process of getting visas for their children. Yes, they were his biological kids. Best to start by finding a good immigration attorney! Mine is also a sitting Senator in Manila! Be smart learn to play the game! All things are negotiable in the Philippines!!

We actually already met and lived together for two years in Romania. I was just wondering how long the process takes from stateside? We are getting married online at the end of June through a legitimate service.

Hi, so spousal visa is available to apply in Philippines? OMG this is a good news since we already have Legal Capacity of Marriage already from the French Embassy.
I will also email our dfa and immigration for such case. We've been apart for 2 years.

I guess it depends where you are in Philippines, a friend of mine and his wife applied 3 months ago, they hired an attorney to do all the paperwork for them at a cost of P4k and they've got their interview scheduled for next week..
