Academic/Degree verification

Here is the process I followed when MOM asked me to provide verification proof for the degree:

1. Checked with multiple Global verification agencies including the agencies mentioned here on the processing time.

2. [ONLY] Avvanz understood my urgency and agreed to try their best to get the verification done within the time I mentioned.

3. While Avvanz was working from their side trying to contact the University, I also reached out the University (and the college staffs) to find out the registrar/staff who keeps the student records and shared the contact details with Avvanz.

4. Avvanz contacted them and provided the verification report within two weeks.

Avaanz processing fees: 21USD + processing fees by the University.

More details about the process, please check out in their website.

Please note my university is already accredited by MOM - it is in the SAT tool and also in the EP application drop-down list. For some reasons, my EP came under MOM's scrutiny so I had to go through a long process.

Hi ,

Hey I’m going through same situation as my verification pending since 1 week.
I’m doing documents verification from RMI agency.
They said due to lockdown in India it will delay
May I know your university is in India ?or from which state?
Mine is from Maharashtra, Pune University?
If it could match then please share staff’s contact.
Thanks.

The best place to start is to look through every section of your University/College website, look for registrar contact or your department contact or any staff contact who can help to connect with the relevant department or contact the main office.

I graduated from the MKU and found the contact details on their website itself.

My verification is pending a month even though an estimated 30 to 40% of people in my profession is from the same college. I am today frustrated seems India as we know is chaotic. How is RMI response. Did you select RMI or MOM selected for you

I’ve just been asked for the same so thanks for sharing as I’ll reach out to the firm you worked with. Out of interest, since submitting the verification, has your EP been approved?

Hello
Why there is sudden verification of degrees

My university is government owned from State Kerala .

Do we need to do verification well or it is for private india  universities only?

Shekhz

I posted an article just yesterday, please google it up for your reference. There is increased scrutiny because a lot of expats (especially from India) have furnished fake degrees and have been jailed, some banned from working in SG.

Hey Vaishali,

Is your degree verified from RMI  or  is it still pending.

Adi_kk

I had request Degree verification from RMI on 23rd June and I got result yesterday 3rd Aug indicating positive "Green DOT"

Engineering from VTU in Karnataka
Working in Singapore from 5 years
Did not assist in verification (Last week had asked for update and they informed delay due to COVID)
New EP is still pending from 13weeks :-(

In all fairness, the time taken for verification can’t be factored in as a lag or delay on MoM- given that the verification outcome is positive, you should see an outcome shortly.

Hi Shekhz, May I ask your kind advise, have you seen any positive verification but still been rejected by MOM? My renewal has been asked for many additional documents of company. After 4weeks pending, mom ask for the educational verification. I’m a bit worry if I provide positive verification will my renewal still be rejected? Thank you.

Adi_kk

Thank you for your positive words which I am losing as days progressed. MOM has not asked anything since April 30th but I just went ahead and got verification done just in case. Agency is reluctant to ask MOM for updates saying delay is common. Almost going to touch 100days this weekend

Hang in there! I am sure you will receive a positive outcome soon.

Often submitters who aren’t experienced, end up submitting applications that are incomplete. For instance, if the company hasn’t shared the very basics- financials, registration documents etc, you can’t be blamed but yes it impacts the overall application in itself. Candidates credentials with all supporting documents (educational certs, transcripts if applicable, resume etc) and a cover letter is again critical.

If the application wasn’t rejected after company documents were provided, it is good news, now get your educational verification done, be patient and if all info provided is legit, you don’t have to be concerned. Yes, it is going to take longer but you can’t help it- a lot of expats have resorted to fraudulent certs and MoM is just being cautious.
