yugirht

Hi,

has anyone already purchase a laptop from AliExpress?

Do you have to pay vat or other fees when shipping to Mauritius?

Of course you have to pay fees. Any goods valued above 1000rs are subjected to 15% custom duty. That being said, why buying a laptop which is an expensive product from aliexpress? The latter is good for cheap stuff but being a laptop is not recommended because how will you deal with warranty? And are you sure you will get what you have bought? If you don't want to pay the high price tag here better to buy off website like amazon, newegg etc..

Thanks for the info.
Aliexpress because it is only there that I found the laptop for sale right now (ex: lenovo yoga 14s slim R7 5800). But yes, you're right about the warranty.

Hi

Interesting to ready the comments, so one can use Amazon when living on the island?  They happy to send goods there?  We live in Botswana so cannot use them as our postal service is so bad!  Natasha

Amazon shipped many stuff to Mauritius but apart from books, shipping is super expensive. But i've used a service called parrotparcels.com and so far so good. They helped you to buy from online website that does not ship to Mauritius. You may try to check if they work for your country.
