Just a quick note - I have gone online to get travel pass and form just has for me and if I traveling with other SRRV companions - not sure if that will get me a pass good for my wife and kids....no response of course.

I will go into the office tomorrow and do face to face as woman there said if I had tickets they could do in 30 minutes when I was back lobbying on the EED that no longer required.

So curious any experience on dealing with multiple travel passes.  Know all the rules, etc., just once again  - when you actually start to execute things tend to go sideways.

thanks.

Just update - I went to office today and did in person, I may have missed some tab to deal with fam that on my SRRV visa from the web, not sure.  But they did it there in 30 minutes and one for EACH holder in the family.  While I was there I asked if I could update my ID cards early (Aug date) and they said sure.  worked with my scans of info i had emails about the now defuncted EED as some passports new.

Then they couldn't find record of transfer of my deposit from DBP to BDO (so I could get SOME interest and better transparency) - entirely with them - couldn't find their own file and said the certificate they would need would have gone from BDO to them so nothing I can do.  so I back tomorrow on the IDs.

They said I NOT need Travel pass to get back in.

New form on ID renewal asks for profession, as I retired no a big deal and its an option but I think they are not going to let go of especially younger people on the point, no clue.  Again you can get work permit under this Visa so they done their job in terms of making it a good Visa.

While I was there I heard what sounded like a rep for a European that clearly in EU and wanting to sell whatever had as property - to get release so can sell being told need to put 50K in cash in FIRST.  Interesting, I would think if they guy said cancel my visa I am never coming back that would not be required but I DO NOT KNOW if that was the situation or not.  Based on the amount, assume under 50 years old.  Reminder of why I still have not bought anything.  I am hoping for interest rates to return in a year or so...

Last but not least - the PRA office truly is exceptional in terms of service, they take lots of hits as they have to deal with the rest of the system....like the EEDs....So for those that are looking at coming, I still am positive about it, just eyes open...if you have any experience with developing world you would have more appreciation for them, I think.

As always, thank you for sharing and recognising that many PRA staff are focussed  on service. That does not take away the months long betrayal of SRRV holders by the authorities during which uncertainty was created about the real residence status and promises of hassle free travel were broken.

Actually I am very concerned that information about SRRV holders is shared, kept in systems of which we don't know the robustness and who have access to it. Travel data in the hands of criminals is an open invitation to visit houses when owners are gone ...

Lastly you write that you have managed to get your deposit transferred from a PRA owned account to an account at BDO on your own name, I suppose.
Would you be prepared to elaborate on that, possibly in a new topic. What is the process? Which BDO branch? Did you need an introduction letter from PRA, Etc.
Given how retirees have been treated, many more may be interested not to have their money in a government account.

I'm just about to start the process of transferring my SRRV deposit. DBP did not provide the transparency and auditability necessary for my own purposes.

I have just now, minutes ago, received the appropriate form from PRA (not a very good scanned copy). If you would like me to forward this to you please PM me and provide your email address.

[in case above was directed at me] Many thanks.

I am interested in the process and how well it goes. Will send email via PM.

The major difference in accounts is that DBP is an account on PRA's name and only answerable to PRA.
At BDO or any other of the approved banks the account is on people's own name.
