Oath Taking for Dual Citizenship

My wife received notice  that her dual citizenship application was approved along with a link to schedule oath taking. I believe there are only 18 oath taking slots per day and by the time she received notice all the July slots were filled. Our flight is July 22 so she won't be able to take the oath in the states. The DC consulate does not answer the phone or return emails so I'm wondering if anyone knows if she can just take the oath in the Philippines or will she have to start from scratch?

Moondog-That's a good question. I would think you should be able to find the answer while you are in

the states. I am not sure if that's a function of the US Embassy or the immigration office in Manila.

Do some research online-make a few calls. The clock is ticking!

I asked the question on their FB page only to have the question deleted and my account blocked. The only phone that gets answered is the emergency number. They gave me a dual citizenship number to call and said to call at 2 pm, I let the phone ring from 2 pm to 4 pm and no one picked up. I finally received a FB messenger response on another account this morning stating that she will have to do it all over again in the Philippines.

The reason they give for only doing 18 oaths a day is safety concerns due to Covid. We would have to take a 2 hour ride on a crowed shuttle to the Atlanta airport, the world's busiest airport, take a flight to BWI, rent a hotel but they are going to protect us by a little extra social distancing at the oath taking? If they are so worried for our safety why not do the oath taking via Zoom? Court cases are tried every day that way. They seem to love praise at the WDC consulate and never miss an opportunity for a photo op.

MoonDog-I sent you a private message about swearing-in of oath. It's detailed info I got online. Please

email me privately ASAP so I can send you the info.
