Not sure about costs on all variants.. pfzer one goes for 20USD a shot

According to the official announcement in Vung Tau, Pfizer costs the government $42 at landing so they'll only charge the subscribers that price.  They will pay for all related expenses -- refrigerated storage, transportation, and the shot.

I posed the same question to FMP and received a similar answer. Unfortunately, the procurement channel is limited through the VN government. I fail to understand why the VN health department is unable or unwilling to middle man procurement authorization to private clinics? Clearly it would lessen the vaccine burden commitment, 'all foreigners are eligible to receive the vaccine' if indeed this is reality or a wishful hope. Regardless, I did register for the vaccine. IF my number comes up, I can then decide to receive the offered vaccine or decline. If an offered vaccine efficacy protection is only 50-60%, to me, this would be a coin toss. Certainly, there is one vaccine I would absolutely refuse due to unrevealed trial testing documentation. Just me.

Don't quite me but I suspect cutting out the middle man stops greedy private buyers/distributors for making huge profits with inflated prices.

Imagine a local trading under "meselluvax" made.up name floating s few rumours around that makes people panic . Followed by we can provide vaccine for you just 200usd.... Bit like last year when masks skyrocketed in purchase price.

Shall we all keep your phone number in our Reminders app to ring you up when the time comes?

Personal contacts info are not allowed on the forum.

Besides, that was a sarcastic reply, not an agreement to let you know when and where the vaccine is available so you can just stroll in for the shot.

It seems vaccines will come when your neighborhood is targeted, and that seems to be based on how serious the covid problem is there.  I don't expect my building to receive them in less than several months.

I've been vaccinated yesterday with Moderna, thanks to the vaccination campaign for the French community (5000 French in Saigon have registered to be vaccinated, 1500 in Hanoi).
➡️ TIP: If you are not French, you can marry a French and you will be vaccinated too (for free).

I have a beret and a Edith Piaf album, would they accept me.

I still own a house in the Dordogne & have a " Carte Vitale" if I go to the embassy & try to put on my version of a French accent, do you think I would qualify?

Scottish / French accent combination would be hilarious

I speak passable French without accent, my first and middle name are French, I can give a credible Gallic shrug, have Les Grandes Chansons D'Hier and a handful of Georges Simenon novels in my phone.  But I'm not going to Saigon for the shot even if they allow me, because I don't want to deal with VT green zone guardians upon returning home.  They may not allow me to enter the ward.

A woman came to the door with a form about vaccination to fill out.  I had to Google translate, but I got it filled out and back to her.  I guess I'm in line for a vaccine now.
