Trying to find a property we may own??

My parents are both deceased but my mother was maltese and I can remember hearing them say that my mum had been left a property in malta, I didnt think anything of it as I was a child but we have just lost my dad and was wondering if there was a way of finding out. Thankyou

Many old people dont have proper estates here so it might be a bit of a drag, but I think a Notary can enquire from the authorities on your behalf.

You might have one dealing with your dads affairs and they could do this for you also.

You need to find a notary to search for the original deeds, inheritance or whatever.  There is a list of Maltese notaries on a government site.

If you have any document naming a notary, that would be very helpful.  Even if deceased, it is possible to trace a son or other relative who might have a file with the  original documents.
