Moving from Sweden to Singapore

prasanbio

Hi Guys,
I am planning to move from Sweden to Singapore in couple of months. My EP has been approved but I am unable to apply for my daughter's DP as her vaccination application was not approved by HPB.
My daughter is 2 years old. She was given 3 doses of Diptheria vaccine and the next dose will be given when she is 3 years old. As per Singapore's vaccination programme (HPB) my daughter should be given one more dose of Diptheria as she is 2 years old but the swedish doctors and the travel clinics think its against the swedish vaccination programme and are against giving her another dose.
So now I am caught up in this situation.
I would greatly appreciate if any one who had been through this situation could suggest or help me in this regard.
Thank you.

That’s a first I’ve witnessed here on the forum. Given that SG Govt is advising you to get the pending shot, don’t think they would budge from that. The rules and regulations are pretty stringent. Wait and request again, or else get your IPA extended if your company is supportive (while you get your daughter’s pending dosage done).

In Singapore, the Singapore rules apply, not the Swedish ones (why should they?).
Thus to get the Singapore visa, you must fulfil their rules and get your daughter the missing shot.
(I assume Shekhz' other option above, delaying the move until your daughter turns three, isn't feasible.)
