Greetings!

For those of us who love cooking at home, is there a good selection of organic fruits and vegetables available at the main grocery stores (Food Lovers etc..) ?

- Tomatoes
- Peppers
- Avocados
- Carrots
- Celery
- Eggplant
- Cucumbers
- Scallions
etc...

Thanks!
Chef Thomas

Hello,

At Food Lovers and supermarkets ... as far as i know, there is no.

But Farmbasket does home delivery of organic fruits and vegetables. At the Votrepoteage mont Choisy, they have some organics (very few) and imported ones.

Go view some YouTube sites, their is a massive food market in Port Louie and smaller markets in almost every town. You can get fresh produce from malls at stores like Woolworth but it more pricey. Best is to support the locals as they grow it from their own gardens and it's much cheaper.
Also go view prices of fresh produce by going on www.winners.mu. Compare

Organic Food only by registered Shops and Suppliers, be careful, Mauritius is using massive Pesticide Products.

Their is a Market in Tamarin and here are a address
