Back in the USA

osakajo

I am home now, after some years in Japan, Portugal, and Latvia.  It is very strange indeed to be back here, especially in the midst of an economic downturn.

Living in Dallas, Texas.  Enjoying the sun (even in winter) after two winters in the Baltic freezer.

Reverse culture shock seems to be the prevalent emotion.  Still not used to all of this fast food on every corner.

Even in economic bad times, Burger King is alive and well.  Not to mention the stand-by American icon:  Wal-Mart.

This will take some getting used to again.

Isn't it amazing how "coming home" doesn't work anymore? Welcome to the new states, hope you like 'em! :-)

Oh, I don't want to go back 'home' (Angola) as France is definitely my home now :-(
