Does anyone know how long a visitors visa lasts for staying longer than 3 months in Cyprus and also, does anyone know what documents are needed as try as I might I can't find this info on the Cyprus gov website.

Many thanks

Toon

I think a one year visa is € 300 per person, renewable

No idea what documents you need but I suggest you make an appointment to visit the immigration dept

Thanks for info

Visitor visa for non EU national costs 70 euros. You need:Passport and copy
Rental agreement and copy. The rental origin has to be stamped with a 30Euro tax stamp from the post office then signed by the muktar of where you are living. The copy of that stamped agreement has to have a 2euro tax stamp. Original and copy of proof of health insurance. Proof of sufficient income to support yourself.  3 months of bank statements showing showing that income. In my case, social security income from USA.
Bank guarantee for x amount of euros depending on where you are from in my case you do something illegal they can fly you out of here. 855 euro for US citizen. They will give you a receipt stamped that says you are allowed to re enter the country if you have not been out of the country for more than 183 days. It takes 6-7 months to get you card, if you get it at all.

Just be fully aware of ALL OF the requirements - IE THE IMPORTANT ONE BEING IT WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED IF YOU ARE NOT IN CYPRUS  FOR MORE THAN 90 DAYS....

THE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT ARE HARSH I THINK

Hi Toon, Thank you for posting the link for MVIS3 as I am renewing mine in Sept. I have been in Cyprus for 5 years under MVIS3 having only to show proof adequate income. Is this a new requirement to show a 15,000 euro transfer in addition to the proof of income? Thanks for any info.

Toon

TBH not sure - i found the link whilst searching for something else.... I am just wondering why you havent applied for temporary and obviously now permanent as youve been here such a long time  - it would save renewal costs etc

Having re-visited the link i think its up to date  - but it is a law firm so cant imagine that they would publish incorrect information.. the only thing id be wary of is the push to take their services as most things you can do your self without incurring charges...

I would make an appointment and speak to the immigration dept directly

ricolo

Thanks for your reply. Sent that question to Gwenny and to the law firm, awaiting reply. I have an appt. with immigration on 3/9/2021 for MVIS3 renewal.
If they won't renew or require bank transfer, I will apply for permanent residence, just hate having to go to Nicosia. I will let you know how it goes.

Toon

Why would you need to go to Nicosia?

ricolo

I was under the impression that permanent resident apps were taken there. I will ask about that
at my mvis3 appt in Paphos.

Toon

PR is done at paphos Limassol Larnaca and nicosia immigration departments
