Good morning allexpat.com members.

Please can someone advice on the following:

We will be traveling to MU in October to get our permit (retiree permit) approval finalized.  This process includes paying the required amount of money into a MU bank account . HOWEVER, we will only be there for 14 days. My questions are as follow:

1. How long will it take to open a bank account.
2. Which bank will be best for this purpose.
3. What documentation is required to open the account.

Thanks
EW

Good afternoon clarryodell and myb003.

Thanks for responding so quickly. We are from SA!. Have your accounts been approved yet?

I went online and indeed saw that ABSA is offering an online application.

We will contact them and see what happens.

I'm sure we are all looking forward to this adventure.
