im maltese - my american bf is planning onmoving here to live and work for a few years before we move to a new destination.

Ive been getting so many mixed answers and am completely confused about what kind of visa or permit he would need in order to live and work here without any hassle.
Anybody here done this already and can perhaps advise accordingly?

thanks :)

Hi ,

welcome to the forum.

Check out the sections on visas and work permits. I don't think there is any kind of visa or work permit for third-country nationals that is without hassle.

If he has a lot of money he can be self-sufficient and stay in Malta or he can find a job with a company that will apply for a work permit for him but conditions apply. The more qualified he is the better. What work does he want to do ?

If you give more details we can give more specific advice.

Regards
Ricky
