What is a prescribed limit or usually approved limit for gold that can be taken out of Bahrain to India via flight.

Without any implication from customs officials from either side.

For a Male Passenger

Neemish

Dear All

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs on 1 April 2016 stated that any Indian passenger coming back to India after a period of more than 1 year can carry any gold jewellery in their baggage to India.

FOR MALE:

On April 01, 2016, The Indian government officially declared that a male passenger with a valid Indian passport can bring up to 20 grams of gold but not costing more than Rs.50,000.
FOR FEMALE:

A female passenger with a valid Indian passport can bring up to 40 grams of gold jewellery but not costing more than Rs.1,00,000.

If there is no limit for ornaments then why any cannot buy 10 kg of gold in ornaments wear it from head to toe and just pass the customs and sell in India.

If you have purchased the gold in India only that is exempt through a proper certificate from the customs.
