Renewing residence perimit

Post new topic

Hi all!

I submitted my documents to the city hall to renew my residence permit (A card). My id expired on 31/10/2021, and however, I applied on 27/10/2021. I was informed that as I'm a bit late. They are supposed to send my application to Brussels. How long does it take to get my new id? Any clue? I need it to travel out of Belgium.

Thank you in advance!

Could i check with you, when did you finally receive your resident card?

Hmmm. I don't understand why should forget or delay stuff like this.

For the others, just set a reminder in your phone 1 month to the expiry of your residence permit. My card A is expiring Oct. 31st and I know I should be at the renewal office by Oct. 1st.

27th is too close for a card expiring on the 31st! Well I guess the implication is if it gets to Brussels, then you will have to bear the burden of waiting a bit longer.

Belgium is already a land of "patience and wait". You don't want to be caught in more webs of waiting.

@yat123 Hi, I was wondering if your application ended up being approved? Despite being late? Thank you!
