Hello,

My name is Sheena and I’m interested in possibly moving to the Quebec City area from the United States. I visited a small village in Quebec some years ago and plan to visit Quebec City and Montréal this Autumn.
Besides obvious tourism, I’m wondering if anyone has suggestions regarding how I can make the most out of my next trip as far as networking for jobs/contacts?
I am a certified UX/UI Designer and Researcher, I have a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature, but I also have a strong professional background in Arts Administration/Management - which I have a Master’s Degree in. I do speak French, but could be better - of course, immersing myself in a Francophone experience long-term would help immensely with that as well.
I believe it’s difficult to immigrate to Quebec from the United States, but if anyone has any suggestions for that as well, I would appreciate it.
Thank you
Cheryl

Hi all 1f600.svg

Looking to take the plunge and re-locate from London to Vancouver

I'll be visiting Vancouver in a few weeks (once the ETA portal is back online and I can get the required docs!) to scope the area out....any essentials visits I should make to get a good feel of the area? (I'll be out there for 10 days)

Also wondering if there are any agencies that can help make the immigration process a bit smoother? (overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that needs to be done whilst researching online!)

Thanks in advance!

Matt.

I'm a business owner, born and raised in Burlington Ont. Canada. Heading Thailand on Dec 7th 2022 for about 2 months. Looking at it as a vacation with chance of it becoming my usual winter get away. I joined this forum as I'm sure there is a wealth of information that will be helpful. I'm intending on renting an Airbnb condo in Tambon Cha-am, Chang Wat Phetchaburi for 1 month (unless there is a reason I shouldn't ??), just to get over the jetlag ,settle in for a bit to get a feel for the people/place before I decide what to do with the second month ie: travel around by motorbike or train or.. You probable won't see a post from me for a while, as I'm sure most of my questions have already been asked and answered multiple times. But glad this is available, as knowledge and preparation will make all the difference to my trip being a success. Thank you for being here.
