Am an Accountant by profession

beppi

Sorry, but your profile says you are already here. (You might want to correct that.)
And regarding a job: Singapore is mostly for those who help themselves, instead of asking others! (A good start would be to read and follow the lots of advice given on this forum about how to find suitable employers and apply for jobs.)

nabanobaa

Thanks so much for the advise. I appreciate.

Hi there,

I am have been living and working in Singapore since April and have found it challenging to make connections.  I am joining Singapore expats to try and get out a bit more and meet new people.

I also love mountain biking, sailing and have been windsurfing down at Aloha.

Trying to find like minded people!

The Condo I am renting is a two bedroom and bathroom, so I am hoping to find a someone who is looking for a home to share in a beautiful green space opposite East Coast Park.

If Any of you out there are in a MTB club you can recommend let me know.

Happy Sunday

Korhene Heyama

Hello I am very happy to be part of expat, I am a Liberian living in Liberia, I want to travel to Singapore and live there can someone please help me to be my host because I don't know no body in Singapore I want to live and work there,I work with the Liberia National police but I just want to get a friend that can host me please

beppi

Korhene: That is unfortunately not how it works. If you want to move to Singapore, you have to find job and accommodation on your own (this forum contains good advice on how to do that). To find a host for a short visit, you can use Couchsurfing or similar sites, but most people just stay in hotels.

Korhene Heyama

Thanks for the information can you please help me, what are the requirements or paper work I suppose to do before coming to Singapore

beppi

Korhene: You need to get a job - the rest will be done by the employer.
You can read lots of good info on this forum about which jobs are in demand, how to find them, what work visa types there are and what the requirements are for each of them.

Korhene Heyama

Thanks I will be glad if I find some one to help me get job up there,so I can get there to work, please if there is opportunity for that I need a help

@cindaplowman

Hi Cindaplowman,

Greetings. I’m a local here in Singapore. My name is Ariffin. I saw your ad, and you enjoy mountain biking. I could hook you up with my colleagues and I. We MTB usually on weekdays and weekends at times. lesser crowd on the track and less bumping into each other on weekdays. You brought along your bike too while working here? 😂

We could start a MTB trip together soon.

Hi Am Abdul Karim from Ghana 🇬🇭 and an experienced McDonald’s restaurant shift supervisor in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 but willing to relocate to Singapore 🇸🇬 to continue my Career in the food industry,  as a Ghanaian I don’t need a visa to enter Singapore 🇸🇬 but I just need a job offer, if you know any employer or any site of Singapore employers just link me up.
SaiShirdi79
Hello, any idea what is the processing time for Singapore PR in 2022. Is it delayed because of covid. Any one who got approved recently and what are the chances for Indians. Thanks
beppi
as a Ghanaian I don’t need a visa to enter Singapore 🇸🇬 but I just need a job offer
- @Kabiri Abdul Karim
Wrong!
A visit visa, which you can get on arrival, does not allow work. To work, you always need a work visa!

Dear all,

I am newbie to this forum.  I studied and working in Singapore since 2015.

Wish to say hello to everyone.

Shai Emcee
hi

Name's Shaiful, known by most simply as Shai.

In my 20s and 30s I organized many shows for touring acts in the independent music circle, and couple that with continued and prolonged communication with international folks ive been referred to amongst friends as the 'go to' guy when wanting to find out about the real Singapore.

So feel free to give me a shout when wanting to know a thing or two beyond Crazy Rich Asians.

Oh and if it matters, i'd really like to visit the Balkans!
giressemegnigiresse

Hello I am megni Giresse resident in Cameroon and would very much like to come to Singapore to work there

sallesenze1

Hello @beppi . I'm a Cameroonian and I would love to travel to Singapore for a 30days visa free and perhaps get a job. But I don't know if I have to secure employment before I travel or after I arrive

sallesenze1

Hello @Jacky99 , how are you. Please I'm hoping to move to Singapore next month. Can you receive me there since I know no one. Thanks. Waiting for your response, email please

beppi
Sallesenze: As a Cameroonian, you can travel to Singapore for up to 30 days - as far as I know. You can also look for a job during that time - but since hiring and visa process take far longer than a month, you will have to return to your country and wait for the outcome.
This forum gives lots of advice on how to find employment here, so read and follow as much of it as possible!
Also, you should (for your own safety) not ask strangers to "receive" you here. In any case, as a visitor you have to stay at a hotel, which is costly in Singapore. So bring enough cash for your visit to one of the most expensive places on earth: S$200-300 per day will be the minimum!
