EP salary hike

Expatunc123

Hello,

I am looking for some insight regarding the likelihood of my EP application being successful, apologies I have scoured the forum but I cannot find coverage of my specific query.

My concern after reading the forum is the salary hike issue. I currently work for a MNC in the UK and have been offered a transfer to our Singapore business, as this is an overseas role it includes living allowances etc and as such on paper my total remuneration will increase by c70%.

The role is a promotion and this is part of the reason for the increase but the expat allowances are a big factor in the overall salary hike.

Is this likely to be a major issue?

Thanks in advance for any help!

When you move countries, it really isn’t taken as a salary hike. However, moving from the UK to Singapore, outline the reasons well in your cover letter (which the employer has to compile). Do mention why they are moving you, why you are critical and that this is a promotion.

May I ask if you got your EP approved and how many days did it take?
