Hi Everyone,

I have applied for SIngapore Employment Pass and it got rejected by MOM, they are asking about the salary justification with my bank statement of local country in which I am getting my salary and they also need company bank statement too.

We did an appeal yesterday with all supporting documents along with salary justification letter authorized by company director.

Can anyone help me to understand what are the possibilites we can get employment pass this time.

Whether it will get approved or not depends purely on multiple factors,
1. Fair hiring practices
2. Salary justification and in sync with the job remit
3. Relevant experience and your candidacy over local talent
4. Job advertisement on local jobs bank for the stipulated duration
5. Your educational credentials verified
6. Company’s unaudited balance sheet to show/ prove that they can pay you the salary

This isn’t comprehensive but some of the critical pointers for reference.

Be patient, see what is the outcome of the review.

Hi everyone,

I first applied in May 2021 then got rejected on September 2021 (yes, I had to be very patient and get approved by a third-party agency since my School wasn’t listed in the MoM’s list)  because MoM considered that the salary proposed was too high for a 1-year experienced candidate.

We then made an appeal which we really thought would be approved since we provided a recommendation letter and strengthened my resume. HR thought it would get approved since I work in Cyber Security and that there is currently skill shortage in this field in Singapore.

The appeal was also rejected with no defined reason…

As of now, I am wondering if I should make a new application or if MoM saves record of former rejection, which should then lead to my new application to get rejected. What do you guys suggest ?
Should I try one last time and come with a new application or do you think that MoM will not consider it since I’ve already had one rejection ?

Thank you for your help 😊

Of course MoM keeps all records and your entire application history is available to the processing officer at a click of the mouse. This is Singapore, after all, so what do you expect?
Just applying again with the same credentials will not help. As we have written numerous times (please read related threads before you post!), your employer should contact MoM and ask for the rejection reason - then you can try to address that in a new application (e.g. if the salary is too high, try with a lower one).
