Anyone who has successfully got released from Tuition Grant Bond here after making efforts? I have tried for over 200 job applications, got several jobs, and 9 failed visa applications but still not released. Can someone advise what you do? do we eventually have to pay even though we have tried our best?
Idk im just so confused right here because im basically just wasting my time and its very unfair to not get released even after putting so much efforts... sigh

sorry im not on tuition bond but im curious about ur situation. cos i had a colleague who was also on the bond but after working in singapore for less than 2 years, he just decided to go back to china. and i dont know what happen to that bond. what will happen to u if u go back to ur home country?

also, about your 9 failed visa applications. is it 9 different companies? wow thats some dedication. im on my 2nd company (1st one failed last year because they didnt post job ad, i decided to go with a better offer) and im already on the edge.

to be honest there are so so so many people who ran away lol. But for me I genuinely do not want to go back. this is the 4 th company, most of them did appealed for me to no avail.

so are you now waiting for your visa? which visa are you applying for?

I have heard some cases : got job, applied for visas and rejected too, requested for a release and this person was told to pay 55k for a release which i find....... ridiculous. at this rate im so confused as to why is the tuition grant given to us when they are not even working together with MOM for our visa... its just..... so weird and putting our lives in grey areas.

like good if you got the job, but you're dead if you cant get any...
oh lord i really just wish they fix the regulations. ive read so many issues with tgd bond but rejected visas.

I have heard of (but do not know personally) people who were relieved of their bond obligations after two/three rejected work pass applications. After all, the authorities can only expect you to fulfil your part (i.e. work here) if they give you the legal preconditions (i.e. valid work visa) - otherwise it is obviously impossible!
You have been very persistent, but at some point you must realize that your future may not be in Singapore. If you still want to try further, you should first find out why you were rejected so many times: If it was due to the employers, you may try at others - but if it was due to you, you must address that issue first (if at all possible), before trying again.
