Best Visa to use for exit via causeway then airport later

Post new topic

I am planning to travel upto Dammam then Bahrain later in March for the racing.

I intend to cross the causeway for entry, then after a week or so in Bahrain continue my holiday in Europe.

What visa will be best here? I hold iqama for saudi.

I cant see any restriction on leaving bahrain via the airport on a causeway visit visa, but unsure? What visa should I apply for which could give entry at the cause way and exit at the airport in Bahrain.

Note: I have a entry/exit visa for saudi, so this questions relates to which bahrain visa I need

Thank you

Get visa on arrival at the causeway.  You can exit via Bahrain airport.  No issues.

To leave Saudi you need a valid exit re-entry visa. You can exit to Bahrain and assuming you don’t need a visa to enter Bahrain because of nationality on the causeway you enter free of charge on your Iqama. You can return to any Saudi port of entry.

Thank you,

So if they issue me the “ Causeway Visit Visa (Saudi resident)” by giving the Bahrain border control my IQAMA and passport when I enter via the causeway, I can exit via the Airport later with no issues? I had been told in person it may not work, but couldn’t find any details, and wanted to find out beforehand.

I already answered but let me explain simply:

1) You already have an ERE so you can exit Saudi
2) Your nationality and / or Iqama profession will fetch you a visa on the Bahrain causeway
3) This visa allows you to stay in Bahrain
4) You can exit Bahrain from ANY port of departure, whether by land, air or sea.  That is NOT linked or dependent on the type of entry visa or where you got it from.  On exit, there is no issue.  On entry, there are issues with types of visas e.g. single entry visit visa is not valid for travel via causeway (for people who are not Iqama holders or whose nationality doesn't allow for visa on arrival)
5) When you re-enter Bahrain, from any port of entry, you can again get a visa on arrival.  However, at the airport, you will have to pay for it
