Hello Expats

I don't know what you can do anything but I am in a no win situation.

First off, I had a stroke 2 plus years ago and I have limited mobility. I can move but I get a bit tired after my daily mental and physical workout, about 3 hours a day.

I have a great woman that takes care of me, she will be my wife as soon as we get the paperwork together.

Now the problem. She got an F1 on a recent Covid test and I have an F0. So she has to be separated from me for at least 7 days.

I don't know if anything can be done but I am in a pickle.

Just off the top of my head I'm thinking that if you send a message to Khanh and one to Robert, between the two of them they would be my best bet for people who can arrange help for you, however that might be possible.

Also, you posted this to the Danang forum, but I'm pretty sure you are still at your property outside Quy Nhon, correct?

Sorry but I dont get it & think below is the way it works.

F0 means have Covid
F1 means has been in close contact with someone F0.
F2 means has been in close contact with someone F1

so how can she get a test stating she is F1?

Here in HCMC  she would just come in & live with you & the two of you would end up F0 but at least be together for the quarantine period.

Hi, as GOB is pointing out you have it backwards, if she has covid she is F0, ask her to order you some supplies from the local supermarket and you can order food via Grab, hopefully she knows a local VN that can pop in and check on you or ask the local ward committee to give a helping hand.

If you have heart problems and in high risk group maybe best if she stays away even if it is Omicron not delta.

But as I have just found out its easy to catch as I just tested positive this morning, with 202,000 case it's hard to get away from it, out of the 7 stood waiting all of us were positive and no names were taken so the 202,000 is a fairy tale.

A mate of mine D7 & his daughter got it. He is 76 & has many health problems. He has had 2 vaccines. Got a call last week to miss our weekly meet up for a beer cos he has Covid. Kept in touch on an every 2 days schedule & 4 days later (I was in Phu Quoc by that time) he said it was a breeze & & he was 85% back to normal with just  a cough & a week later he was testing negative. Yesterday he said he still had a lingering cough but other than that he was fine. He is still testing negative so will meet up end of the week as usual.

Thanks, I did get a person to stay me. He's my therapist from Tuy Phuoc. Thank God for that.

Did everything go well for you?

How about the plan to get married?

We did get a therapist, but that was about a year and a half ago.

I moved about 10 months ago, I sold my farm and my house, and I living with my finacee in Quy Nhon. We plan to get married next year. I'm guessing about the spring, but final details have not been decided yet.

I was referring (in the context of this thread) to your reply just this past March, 2022, regarding your "pickle"🥒

Glad all is well.
