Hi,

I work with an asset management firm and have got an offer from a local bank in their innovations department. The role requires Machine learning, R and Python skills. I have acquired these over the last 3 years. I'm getting a 29% hike on my base (168 to 216) as this role requires a unique skill set. I have a few questions:

1. Would the 29% hike be an issue and are there chances that the EP will get rejected?
2. How long does it take for the appeal to come through?
3. DO firms generally wait for appeals?

Thanks for your help!

1. There are many factors affecting your chances. Read realted discussions on this forum to get an idea!
2. It takes between two weeks and two months in most cases, but special circumstances can differ from this.
3. Depends on the company - ask them!
