You can buy a sim card at any 7/Eleven for every operator, for example dtac,AIS,True. They have a stack of sim cards from those operators and you just pick a phone number you like. The cost is like 69 Baht. You need to bring your passport. I'm using dtac and it works fine. When you buy the sim card, top it up at the same time, maybe 300 baht to start with. Then you download the dtac app and pick a package that suits you (there are several),for example, a 30 days with top speed. They range from about 199 baht depending on the amount of data. When you need to top up again just do it at 7/Eleven. Don't buy those tourists sim cards at the airport, there are 7/Elevens everywhere.

Thank you and have a great day.

From my experience True and DTAC are the best for coverage. Avoid AIS

AIS's packages are also more expensive than for example dtac's. dtac have loads of packages with discounts popping up all the time. I have never used TRUE.
Never done that
You going to find people that say, Dtac, true, AIs is best.

Best thing to do it try for you self.
Get a sim card with no Bath per monthly for this or that.
Simple get it with you put money on it and can use it.

The use the promotion offer at that time, As is change all the time for your internet.
A simple SMS code is send, And you have your internet.

Only know from True, But i am sure other provider is the same.
That if you put XXX Baht onto you phone.
You get X days to XX days free unlimited Internet.

Then when you finish try all of them out, If you need a month packages with some hours free talk, free wifi, free unlimited internet, Then you know from with Company to buy from.

I only have feedback from Dtac and True as that what on my wife phone.
We being many place in Thailand where Dtac have no connection.
And only once where both Dtac and True have none.

Kindly.

AIS (almost)never comes up with any usefull discounts or free internet when refilling. AIS is the only operator where packages got more expensive during the pandemic. Go figure! A lot of clueless Thai people uses AIS, and AIS knows that.

It's nothing wrong with AIS's coverage in major cities. The problem is expensive packages. dtac is a smarter choice and their app is good.
