EP application - about Consider all candidates fairly the 28 days rule

Hi, my company submitted EP application for me last week, while I checked company’s page on MyCareerFuture.com this position is not posted on the website. I believe the MOM requests all EP applications be be posted on for 28 days before company can submit EP application.

I worried and checked with HR but she told me she knows about this rule, and ask me don’t worry about it.

Because I accepted this offer so I rejected other offers, which is risky as I worry this EP application might fail as the company not following the 28 days rule.

Anyone with same situation but had EP applied successfully? Please let me know so I can stop being so worried everyday. Thank you!

I’m thinking about start interviewing other companies in case this application failed. But not sure.

Anyone with similar situation? Please share! Thank you!1f622.svg

If yours is a startup company and there are less number of Employees then the company needn’t follow this rule , I think they would know what they are doing. But meanwhile you can attend other interviews just incase .

Thank you for your reply! However the company is not in the exempt list so it needs to follow the 28 days rules.

Based on my contract with the company if I withdraw the offer I need to pay them one month salary...maybe I will just wait for the application status...

As HR said. They know better than us which is usually true and also if it's still less than 2 weeks after they applied then you shouldn't be worried. Even if it's more than 2 weeks considering earlier long weekend you can wait for few more days.

There is never any guarantee for EP approval, so you should continue applying for jobs and interviewing until you receive an IPA.

If the company is supposed to post the job on MyCareerFuture and didn't, there is no chance for approval. Ask the HR lady why she thinks she can circumvent this general rule!

@beppi

Thank you Beppi, I see and will keep eye on the MOM updates.

If this application failed due to HR errors, then this company is not the right one for me to work for.
