I'm in a difficult situation. I applied with a company (Lets call A) and got EP rejected 2 times due to salary being not enough. The salary requirement for financial sector was not there in SAT those times. Then I got an offer from an agent for another bank and this time, the EP got approved. After 1 month of approval, the agent suddenly wanted me to come earlier than the agreed upon date, and they withdrew the IPA.

After that I applied with the 3rd company on 25th of May, and my EP is pending until today (6/6/2022).

Will the 2 previous rejections have any bad effect on me? Will the withdrawal have bad effect on me?

New here. Just sharing my situation.

Been working in Sg coming 11 years now. Was on EP for my initial year downgraded to S-Pass until now. Never changed employer, which is a small local private IT company.

HR applied for S-Pass renewal last May 2 which was denied after two weeks due to no quota. Company head count is 5 locals/PR and I’m the only foreigner.

HR applied for E-Pass yesterday and given a long pending bump in salary and due to my role change. Reading through here I am now very worried. Will update again of any status.

@EP May 2022 Thanks for this detailed writeup, it really helps when you are also on the same boat and gives some confidence. MY EP was applied on 6th May and 2 weeks later they had asked for some documentation related to fair hiring and also my updated profile. Last week further documents were asked (not sure what are those) but still the online update is showing PENDING and i am waiting patiently

@sureshjy each application is different. The higher the compensation, the faster ur application.

Based on my reading, ive seen is 2 weeks for some. Avg 1 month and some even close to 2 months. It takes longer if documents are requested by MOM.

Like u, applied also on May 20 and I am also in IT. Still pending for me. My biggest fear is the comp will withdraw the offer cuz of how long this is taking

Pray to God we will get approvals asap.

Can I seek for help on the following

EP-Renewal

context: my wife join current company and get EP approved for 1 yr since Sep 2021, and recently need to submit for EP renewal.

Salary: 6K /mth

Situation: today check the EP eligibility, require 6.6K/mth to get EP.

Challenge: if salary no change, will my wife EP get renew? or if salary increase to 6.6K, high chance MOM will question the rational for increment <12mth. frankly a bit challenge on that front. seek advice

MoM is slightly more lenient with salary requirements for renewals. But it is better to aim for a pay above the threshold.

oso notable that salary benchmark increased for new EP application, gov say that the renewal will start from 2023 onwards to give company time to adjust, but this doesnt seem reflected in the tool (no diff between new and renewal)

Hi everyone,

My employer applied EP for me 2 Fridays ago but I when I check my application status on MOM’s eServices it says no application found. My colleague with similar profile applied 1 week earlier and we can see his status as pending on eServices. Should I be pinging my employer again? Just wanted to ask if it’s normal for pending status to not show after 7 working days before asking my employer again.
