Don't believe the slanders about the women.
There is everything like every where else
Put in the effort and find a great girl . I did and I'm very happy getting married.
Check out Angeles city
Much more manageable and user friendly than manilla.
Great people beautiful museums awesome malls I love it.

I don't think you read the message you are replying to. Ricksphatpharm mentioned that he wanted to see:
"country side and nature as opposed to the cities as I'm quite sure I wouldn't want to base myself around the bustle as I'm largely an outdoors person and do like the solitude."
Angeles City is a city with one of the largest red light districts in the Philippines and I don't think the Manila malls would be of interest to him either if he is truly a nature guy.
"Fields Avenue is the name of a major street running through Balibago area of Angeles City in the Philippines. It is the center of the red light district and the bar scene of the biggest entertainment district of the Philippines." Wikipedia
If he said his main intention was to lay some pipe I would agree that Angeles City would be the place to go but it sounded to me like he had other intentions.
ricksphatpharm said. . . . I understand that foreigners cannot buy property there but I'm pretty sure I could work around that once I've seen the actual island and have a better understanding of what to do and how to go about it

Luzon Island is for sale. Contact Bong Bong Marcos.

Angeles City. . . .Marry that Great Girl and stop her bar fines.
bgc go here haha and have some drinks and eat with us
@mahi948 this is accurate. I find it interesting that so often Filipinos rage about sex tourists, and yet have no problem getting girls pregnant and dumping them.
It's almost a national past time.
@mugteck I'm not sure what to make of this comment... I took my assertation of the women from both the foreigners asking about women and the American "settlers" leading with the dollar getting all gaslit about the questions.
As to your sarcasm about working my way around property laws, I could always come in as an investor which is my intention after all (some of us can afford it) as I'm not a retired old man plowing my meagre life savings into the venture. Nor am I inclined to gamble it all on a women to not screw me ove in persute of a Green card. I merely want to experience South East Asia island culture and what it has to offer so don't get triggered that when someone asks about the culture and how best to navigate a rather global concern of property.
One would assume that it's far better to NOT screw local woman over by first establishing oneself and creating security, you seem the polar opposite which shows the beta bitch reply. I'll do my best not to show up the American looser mentality when I'm there in a month.
Thanks for the heads up and warm reception American decorum proceeds itself globally.
@Moon Dog thanks for the reply, I heard this too online from the local women streaming content. From what I understand the eastern part would be my bet but I remain unsure of what this pertains too as a whole, is it on the island of Cebu or Manilla? or does it represent the entire eastern seaboard on all islands. From what I understand Cebu is easiest to base oneself for travel regarding flights ect, but I am planning on renting a motorbike and exploring by myself does it still then matter if it's Manilla or Cebu? And is this even a valid option. Tnx
@karpingary69 I plan on seeing Angeles thank you for your advice.
@ricksphatpharm
Have you looked at a map of the Philippine archipelago? There are 7,000 plus islands and 2,000 or so are inhabited. Luzon, where Manila located, is the northern region, the Visayas, where Cebu is located, is the central region and the southern portion is Mindanao where the city of Davao is located. Each area has its own attractions. It is very difficult to suggest which area to visit. Do you want the see the popular tourist attractions? If so you can look all that up on the internet. If you want to explore the small towns and villages you will probably have to make your own way. In my area there are a few "resorts" that have rooms to rent for the night so I would consider that for lodging. Google something like Cebu beach resorts to see a map of what's available.
Personally, I would not rent a motorbike in Manila simply because I don't want to drive in Manila. Cebu may be a better choice. I've watched YouTube videos of a girl who lives a province lifestyle just outside Cebu so it should not take long to get out of the city.
Some islands are connected by bridges like my island of Biliran and Leyte. Leyte is connected to Samar by bridge but to get from Samar to Luzon requires a ferry ride. Domestic flights are not very expensive so that would be a good choice for a major move.
I apologize for hopping into this heated discission but it is relevant to me and I hope someone may be able to advise me. I will be going to Manila (Makati) for a week for work. I may be relocating there longer term for work. I have read so many varied things that I am worried any normal woman I approach will think I am a sex tourist or that women who show interest may be professionals. I am American and 45 but look younger. I speak 5 languages, but unfortunately not Tagalog.
I am recently divorced and while I am interested in shorter term connections I would not rule out a relationship if the stars lined up right. I am not a sex tourist like the OP may be, and will not pay for that kind of “fun” because I don’t view people as commodities. Even if a relationship is short term (or even one night) human connection (personality, conversation, humor) is what makes the physical interaction the best. A lot of people here have mentioned Makati, which is where I will stay. Any suggestions on where to go there to meet regular women who are not prostitutes (no disrespect to prostitutes who may be working hard to escape poverty). I don’t care if the people I meet are Filipino or from any other country as long as they are nice and fun to talk with. Any advice?

You're coming here one week for your job, it seems you show more interest about collateral fun than your job.
You're Fired
One week is just enough time to shake the jet lag and get ready to go to the airport in time. If you stay at a nice hotel, the ladies will be there. The Malls provide an opportunity to flirt with some of the Sales clerks who work 6 days a week, often 10 hours a day. I suggest that you just WAIT until you return with more time to spend here. Wherever you will be working, is where you will be looking for a "Friend".
If you go to makati for a week
you in the right place for what you are looking for
have a wonderful week
If you display the gold the gold diggers will present like flies to manure. If that's what you are looking for, you will do fine.
If you want real love, lose the stop watch! Maybe do a visit to some local churches. You will probably find women of character there. But months, not hours!
And then my grandpas advice. When the washing machine is broken, do the wash by hand.
There are a lot of beautiful women working in the 4/5 star hotels in the Philippines and I imagine it would not be too hard to strike up a conversation with one or more of them. At the Waterfront Airport in Mactan Cebu there were always two beautiful ladies ready to open the door for guests plus many more on reception and in the restaurant and bar area. Same was the case at the XYZ hotel in Tacloban and the Apo View Hotel in Davao.
Problem is they will probably be working 5 or 6 days a week but at least you know they have a decent job and do not spend hours online trying to scam foreigners On the plus side if you hit it off with one of them and manage to go on a few dates, I reckon if you kept in touch and both wanted to meet again on your next visit it could work out.
@Enzyte Bob you missed the part where I explain I may be relocating there longterm. That is why I am going forthe initial week because it looks like I maybe transferred there by my company.
@fredsinc
Fred I remember reading somewhere that 50% of married couples met their partner in the workplace or via that arena through a tangential connection. Given that you maybe relocating to Manila for a longer term this is where you stand the best chance of meeting a ‘regular’ Filipina. Of course this surmises that you will be working in an office environment as opposed to working as a ‘digital native’
There are more single filipina’s in Metro Manila than anywhere else in the Philippines. Period. Talk of there being a better chance of meeting someone when you reach the exotic islands is wishful thinking. That Filipina black haired beauty is not going to approach you on a white sand beach while you are reading Fifty Shades of Grey under a palm tree. Dream on.
Alot really depends on your personality and how comfortable you feel in womens company. I’m on record on this forum for stating that a good % of single males visting the Philippines are ,to use the British phrase ‘Anoraks’ or what our American friends refer to as ‘Nerds’ Many will end up using the girly bars out of frustration. To your credit you have ruled this option out.
I have visited Manila, like you on business, for many years now. Sadly Metro Manila has very few after work bars that are common in western cities where women congregate for an after work libation. In the UK they used to be called wine bars. The thinking male soon figured out that many of the more cerebrally enticing women hung out here as opposed to the pubs.
I can think of nowhere in Makati that comes close. Many Filipinas will meet up after work at coffee shops or for a bite to eat before they go home. Upmarket hotel bars will be stuffed full of western expats talking shop. Any women on their own seated at a stool with their legs tantalisingly crossed will be high class hookers.
“I have read so many varied things that I am worried any normal woman I approach will think I am a sex tourist or that women who show interest may be professionals.”
Well you can rule out the latter if you are keeping away from the red light areas and hookers in upmarket hotel bars are easy to spot the world over.
Cherryann alludes to beautiful women working in hotels. For sure this is an option but not as easy as it sounds if only because of the unsociable hours they work. This can work though. Many years ago I dated the floor manager in charge of the main restaurant at the Peninsula Hotel on the corner of Ayala and Makati Avenues. I’m actually quite comfortable with my own company and on this occasion felt like treating myself to as our French friends say a ‘repas exotique’
OK I have to admit I’ve always been a legs guy. This Audrey Hepburn lookalike (the floor manager) with short cut hair and wearing high heels and legs to die for would occasionally come over and check to see if everything was allright. She had me spell bound. Towards the end of the meal I stated who she reminded me of and how gracefully she glided between the tables making sure that all the guests were attended to. I stated that my all time favourite movie was the 1963 ‘Charade’ featuring AH and Cary Grant with great support from the lugubrious Walter Matthau and a young James Coburn. I got lucky. It was one of her favourites. We said our goodbyes but not before I asked her about her rosta. I came back a couple of days later and gave her an envelope with a replica small scale copy of the movie poster when it was released in 1963. She asked where I was staying - The Mandarin. That evening she left a message on my bedroom phone saying she gets off at 11 would I like to meet at Bar NUVO which was a jazz cocktail bar in Greenbelt 3 sadly now closed.
One option for meeting Filipinas you should consider and I thoroughly recommend for jetlag are the at home massage spas who will come to your hotel. I met my current Filipina GF this way and asked her if she would like to accompany me to one of the islands which she agreed to. Most are on flexible work arrangements. Your dream of being massaged on an exotic white sand beach by a Filipina beauty may just come to fruition
I shall be in Manila in early November so if your schedule coincides PM me.
If you’re staying in Makati, there are a couple bars in greenbelt mall that play through the late night hours. You can also find a couple bars in the central business district. I recommend speaking to some of the male waiters and see if they know local hangouts, since they’re usually working till midnight and many of them party afterwards.
Stay away from Burgos street, those are all going to be professionals. You’re going to have to do the work, though, because any woman that approaches you will probably be a professional or a scammer. The normal women are shy, so watch for them giving you the eye. If they are sneaking looks at you without approaching, they would probably welcome your attention. Good luck

Are you referring to Café Havana & Spicy Fingers?
it all boils down to what kind of activity or type of things you want to do while here in Ph.
@zoe2016. Youre exactly right. Theres countless places and areas he could go to just play.I hope he doesn't mislead any girls on relationship promises if only on short vacation.
I came here to live permanently. My fiance and I got married. We have a 3 yo toddler.
Any red light district in the Philippines would be good if you're just looking for some ladies to tickle your pickle

(1) Which red light district would you suggest?
(2) Any online site you could recommend? (Maybe Tinder or Filipino Cupid).
(3) "Pickle" is raciest, are you referring to Asian Men.
(4) In western cultures students are taught how to put condoms on "Cucumbers".
(5) Filipino's think condoms is where rich old Expats live.
@Enzyte Bob
I think he means Bell End.

(1) ANY
(2) If it's just for tickling the pickle, the RLD is better than Tinder and Filipino Cupid
(3) I'll need you to connect those dots for me. I'm not smart enough to see a connection
(4) Hmmm...is cucumber less "raciest" than pickle? (cucumber doesn't quite rhyme with tickle)
(5) Now, that sounds racist (you actual mentioned a certain group. I didn't)

(3) Connecting dots. . . .Pickles are smaller then cucumbers, out of 87 countries surveyed southeast Asia was in the bottom 11 pickle size.
.
In certain places in the US hotdog carts garnish their wieners with sliced pickles, McDonald's used sliced pickles on their buns.
.
To be fair some hotdog carts garnish with mustard, ketchup, relish, chili, hot sauce and sauerkraut.
.
Please no hot sauce on my wiener
