Hi All,

I have gone through the forum before posting here. Here is my case. I am working in singapore as IT Lead in the same Org for the past 8 years. Recently i got offer in one of the big financial sector bank.They have given me ~50% hike on my previous salary. I am having 11 years total experience. Can you please let me know if MOM will approve or will object on my EP application ?Many Thanks for your help.

Nobody can tell, from the very limited information you gave, what your chances are.
You should read the discussions on this forum about which factors can influence approval or rejection!

Hi Beppi, Thank you for the response. My current sal is 6500. New employer has offered me 10k which is 54% increase on my current sal.The offered Org is a Big European Mnc bank.

@MARKAN43

Approval would depend on the following-

1. In the new role, what are your professional responsibilities- for instance, outline if you have additional responsibilities (people management or larger territory or some new tech or hot skills etc)
2. Have you done any new courses and/ or certification
3. What’s the ongoing market rate for similar jobs, you can look up jobs bank for a range estimation

I mean there are several reasons which could justify your bump, you gotta think and have your employer outline things well.

@MARKAN43 Hi, may I know whether your EP was eventually approved?

It was 2022 when we witnessed a big hike in tech salary, I think 50% increment was not something too strange. I think his EP was approved.
